One more thing about BSNL that pissed me off: earlier, their 'unlimited' plans were just 4GB of downloads you could do, which I seemed to hit pretty fast. Later, it became common among vendors to allow the first xGB to be full throttle bandwidth (depending on the plans one buys) and then provide unlimited download capacity for half bandwidth for the balance of the month.

I actually have a wireless router & it cost as you say...round 3000 . But I donno whether it'll be compatible with the Airtel dongle . 🤔

I can afford a bit of cost, but want undisturbed net connections . It's very necessary not only fr video downloading & scrolling through IF , but also for my studies .

Really tired with BSNL at this moment , they're taking ABSOLUTELY NO STEPS to mend the chords , caring a damn about their service . 🤢 It was even in the local newspaper as well , still no response from the authorities .

I'll tell dad to collect information about Airtel Dongle 4G or Airtell broadband. Want to change this connection ASAP .

Btw I am a big airtel fan Mishti
It is THE best when it comes to net. If wifi of airtel is not available next option is airtel 3G dongle . It's way better then BSNL

I hope Airtel provides net connection in my locality . If they does I want to change as fast as possible .

Btw , what could be monthly charge ? 😳

Does your router have an USB slot? If it does, you can ask whoever you get the dongle from if they can configure the router w/ the dongle. Since they need to make the sale, they may try to get that done for you. Otherwise, you can go to the place you bought the router from and ask them if they can help you w/ it.

If it doesn't have a USB slot, it's probably one of those other routers that requires an ethernet input, and has both ethernet & wifi outputs. Which can be used w/ Airtel Broadband, but not any dongle. If that's the case, then if you take Airtel Broadband, don't go w/ their wireless modem, which is more expensive than their non-wireless modem.

Monthly charge on the DSL service now starts @ Rs 650 for unlimited access and I think 1Gb/s.
