the kauravas were defeated but so were the future generation of the pandavas..everything finished, the god started with afresh page by stabilizing the dharma..

but yes abhimanyu was a sweetheart of all due to his impeccable charm and talent..so indeed it is sad to see him die..

well what this means for me is that at end of the day war is war and innocent people will die no matter what is the cause of the war is

which is why i am never able to view this war as a complete dharma yudh.Yes it was dharam yudh since pandavas were fighting for their justice and at the end more righteous side wins. But the cost of this justice was very high as well

Freedom is never free and if we accept one injustice done to one woman and one family, we accept it all.

I never ascribed to Vidur's philosophy of a family for a village and a village for a nation. For me its more like, leave no man behind

I think MB was justified

Sabhayata - history is always written from the winners perspective...even Vyasa was probably biased. 2ndly justice is not free or cheap. Sacrifice is needed for success.

ya i agree but in this case people who were unrelated to the injustice or to those seeking justice also paid a price

though this was war so it was expected but still for me even this dharam yudh had a dark side

it was indeed a very dark side of the dharma yuddha..

I always felt that no one but shakuni won in the end...even though he died...but he made sure the entire kuru dynasty is destroyed..

The pandavas rules for 36 years but only half heartedly they say...they never enjoyed the throne during those 36 yrs..

I am all game for duryodhan and his clan to get aids or cancer and die in pain ..n realizing their mistakes ailing due to illness..😉

was the war really necesarry?

Again talking of shakuni, i wanted to ask this: what was his motive really?
Was his motive to ensure that his sister's children get their place or was it to destroy kuru dynasty??
Shakuni in this mb has always been of the opinion that meri priya behen ke balidaano ka fal usse milna chahiye so i guess it was the former or am i wrong?

shakuni dearly loved his sister and hated the kuri vansh as he thought they bullied his father on the basis of their power to get his sister marry the blind kuru prince dhritarshtra..

but their is another story that he wanted to destroy the entire kuru clan..

Yesterday's episode was decent.

Lord Krishna and Draupadi scene was great.
Loved Abhimanyu and Arjun scene...
But then...Duryodhan scolding Karna again...so much for "friendship"...😕
By the way, just loved the background music when Abhimanyu did pranam to Lord Krishna...👏
SRJ is a great actor, and the way he looks at Abhimanyu, knowing of his future...it's simply great...👏
I just hope they show Abhimnyu's killing properly...
