I think the death of abhimanyu also implies the equality of the losses the war resulted in for both the kauravas and pandavas..
the kauravas were defeated but so were the future generation of the pandavas..everything finished, the god started with afresh page by stabilizing the dharma..
but yes abhimanyu was a sweetheart of all due to his impeccable charm and talent..so indeed it is sad to see him die..
well what this means for me is that at end of the day war is war and innocent people will die no matter what is the cause of the war is
which is why i am never able to view this war as a complete dharma yudh.Yes it was dharam yudh since pandavas were fighting for their justice and at the end more righteous side wins.But the cost of this justice was very high as well
