You clearly ridiculed the fact that he may have chanted his name - in short you ridiculed that he may have worshiped Karna. I never said he chanted his name, but seeing that possibility get ridiculed - got me into typing a reply.

But you didnt even mentioned that and were talking about vivekananda MB --why?😕

It was actually a school van and it took almost 4 hours man, you got lucky -- maybe the driver was an idiot😒

weirdly even at midnight it took a couple of hours though no traffic at all.

Since its off topic, its my last post on it. I have been doing the travelling for the last 5 years and the worst it has taken me is 1.5 hrs. I agree that the road conditions have improved significantly in the last 5 years though.

Anyway back to Karna

can someone write a story on karna showing sympathy please who doesn't adore him? Since adoring a character or being attached to the character is not necessary to write a piece on the character with sympathy. Rabindranath will be happy to see the psychriatry applying on him now which till date none succeed

^ U have summed up Character of Karna so well! 👏
Agree with u on his statement to Krishna and Pandavas!
I don't really condone Karna's insults to his SIL Draupadi during Vastraharan!

@Whoever asked this question.. is it necessary to love someone means to hate someone .. have I ever said that Tagore hated Arjun .. NO .. a man like TAGORE has no need to hate a fictional character like Arjun .. and when you bring the topic of "Chitrangada" .. the name was "Chitrangada" not Arjun Chitrangada .. I don't know if you have ever seen the dance drama .. the whole drama is all about Chitrangada .. Arjun is her love interest whose love just keep switching from Kutupa to Surupa n again Kurupa ..

The whole drama was made for a love story n yes Tagore glorified Chitrangada .. is there any comparison with karna-Kunti Sangbaad at all ????

i only know its simply absurd saying that a writing can come from heart without getting involved to the subject of writing and being attached to the character on whom its written not only story or poem its true about every single kind of art as paintiing dancing even cooking the attachment is needed i have a master degree on bengali literature and i have read how the author or poets have lost themselves to give life to their creation then an eternal classic can born yes its possible liking and perception can change but while creating a piece 100% attachment is required its very truth of literature
so when tagore created karna kunti sangbad he ofcourse was deeply attached to karna atleast for that time. and while creating chitrangada ofcourse arjun-chitrangada story interested him without interest no creation can ever be made

Patralekha .. well said .. yaah if writers was not inspired by the character he/she is writing or have deep understanding and sympathy or even empathy then the word "Muse" wud lived in Olympus n never entered into literature Duh ..
