karna want to defeat only arjun because he is insulted karna na.even v vl feel like that na.

drona rejecting to teach karna scene was very heartwrenching.points said by karna was very true.

due to this highness of high class on those days and aftermath made ambedkar to introduce reservation system and now those high class generation are facing sevevre problem due to reservations.

so sad

Actually Drona taught Karna. Tv serials show that he rejected him. The only thing Drona refused to teach Karna was the Brahma weapon which he learnt from Parashurama.

Well I agree with one comment here that they kind of related with Arjuna award. When Arjuna award is given for best sportsperson..Drona was his guru and his coach to say in present terms...thus for coach we have dronacharya award.. Whatever he may be to eklavya and Karna, he proved to be a good teacher to Arjun.. thus i think its fair on having this award in his name...

As has been mentioned ad infinitum, Drona did not reject Karna. Karna was very much indeed a part of Drona's gurukul and it was during these days that he forged his friendship with Duryodhana.

As for sizing up Dronacharya as a teacher, do not forget that he also took in Drishtadyumna as his disciple, knowing fully well Drishtadyumna was born to slay him. How many would have the guts to do that?

@blue: The "highness" that you mention about the so- called higher classes, came in much much later, most probably as a by product of Islamic and British invasions. The caste system was not as bad as is being made out by today's pseudo secularist writers.

And what is conveniently being glossed over are the rigid rules and regulations within which brahmins had to lead their lives too. It was not easy to lead a brahminical way of life either.

by saying high class im not talking about brahmins yaar.not at all.like present i thought there would be many under high class.thats it.nothing more to that.
questions that karna faced doesnt come under caste differentiation?
he is god surya son thats why he has such passion towards learning such skills which are restricted to kings and there sons.cant a athirath son have such passion?
should a beggar son should be a beggar that time?
