I does hold respect Riti, but its not that simplistic... In Karna's & Krishna's case, both his adoptive parents created a loving environment hence we feel nurture has more respect.

It was Karna's nature along with the good environment that his adoptive parents gave that made karna who he is. Had he been the real son of Radha, his nature would have been different; he perhaps wouldn't go to extreme lengths to be a warrior... But it's his nature that facilitated that! He is the son of the Sun God, he is the progeny of a warrior clan and that has always won!.

Look at Dury, he is also Kurvansh's son like Karna (different circumstances); he has all influence of Bheeshma, Vidhur, Guru Dhrone etc.. If not anything, he should be the best man in the whole lot! But just the influence of Shakuni turned him the way he became... it was nurture that did the most damage!

I guess it is that it's not black and white to me...

I so love when you write long posts...why dont you write often😛
Yeah definately not all white and black,.. but definately how you grew up depends on many factors,.not only parents...it depends on society.. his interaction with outside world...
@bold- i so agree on that.. thanks for throwing into light that perspective...😳

😳😳 Oh I don't consider myself a writer Riti... and it's rarely that I get into the mood to write what I feel.

There is proverb from several African nations, that loosely translates to 'It takes a village to raise a child' - which I agree. This whole debate of nature V nurture has very blurry lines!

Okay, I just watched the first part of today's episode, and they managed to completely defame Karna 😡

The real Karna always regarded Radha as his mother, and knew that he wasn't born to her. That didn't reduce his loyalty to her, so no way would Radha have had to describe how she knew his likes & dislikes inside out - she already knew.

So Karna asking Radha today "Who really gave birth to me" was a complete disgrace, and a slap in the face of every adoptive parent. In fact, in KMG, Karna tells Krishna that he already knew that he was Kunti's son, but that it was Radha who would clean him, raise him and so on. In other words, the real Karna would never ask Radha who his real mother was. If anything, he demanded to know of Kunti how she could describe herself as his mother.

It's hard to tell what ⭐️B thinks it's doing to the various characters - most of them have been defamed beyond repair

I know I felt really bad the way CVs have distorted Karna's character here when he said he was not radheya...Man really proudly even admitted to Kunti that he was radheya... and he always held high respect for his foster parents... I wish they could have atleast retain basic essence of Karna's character which they very well failed to do.
I agree with Sabhyata in other post - I think Karna knew part in citation you said is more about ..After Krishna telling Karna, Karna believing in his words that he is Kunti's son.. that what applies from him already knowing part..

A woman does not become mother only by giving birth. It needs much more than that. She is the first one a child calls when in pain. She is first word that child learns .She nurtures her child ,She sacrifices for his comfort .She waits for him when he does not come home. She cries in pain when he is hurt. She always prays for him day and night.

How can one truth change that relation formed from years of sacrifice and devotion. A bond between a child and his mother is not only of those 9 months when she bears the child...then how can anyone say that Radha is not Karna 'mother. Even God can't take that right from the woman who gave Radheya his identity.

A son and two mothers..one who abandons him..and seek him only as per her comfort. And other woman who cared for an orphan child like her own..She an epitome of motherhood like yashoda for Krishna is truly an inspiration for many .. Yes Karna you were not born through your Radha ma but she gave you life..and made you who you are today...

A small post for this special bond..between Radheya and his Radha Ma..

I am quoting this whole post coz this is wonderful

every line is true and special..

Yes Radha is Karna's only real mother...even Karna accepted it...he lived a Radheya and died a Radheya.. coz her love was unconditional...even if she did not carry him at her womb..

sorry for late reply dear..

totally agree with you...

but we finally saw the Radha Radheya bonding after Karna's kavach Kundal Daan

I totally fell with Radha Maa's dialogues, specially then when Adhirath says to stop her but she did not listen and laid her motherly heart to mother, who could not be a mom to child whom she carried in her womb for 9 months...

When Radha said, "You could never be his mother." I felt this was true...Only a true mother knows a real mother
