The episode starts with Shakuni preaching peace. Dhritrashtra says he will send Sanjay with peace proposal. Shakuni says no let the peace proposal come from their side this will give satisfaction and happy ness to yup and Duryodhan . He says let Sanjay and vidur both go to Matasya with the message and invite Krishba to come with a peace proposal

At Virat Nagar a Nat is there to entertain all. He asks whose story would you want to hear. Some says shiv vivah some say Ram katha. Yudhishtir tells Krishna to suggest a story. Krishna says let Draupadi decide which story will calm her . Draupadi says I am calm. Subhadra says I want to hear the story which I have heard from childhood but which I haven't bean able to comprehend. This story will give peace and pleasure to all of us
Nat says there is only one such story he never tires of narrating. That of Shyam sundar. He starts the story
Kans was the cruel king of mathura. He had imprisoned his father ugrasen. He was son in law of Jarasandha. His sister Devki got married to son of kings shursen, vasudev. There was a prediction that devki's 8 th son would kill Kansa. Kansa becomes ready to kill his sister and stops them from leaving Mathura. Vasudev says that if he kills or harms them then king shursen king pandu of Hastinapur who is his brother in law and king kuntibhoj who is his sisters adoptive father will jointly attack Mathura. Kansa says in that case I will kill all yadavs present here.
Vasudev says I can kill you right now but that will lead to jarasandha's anger befalling on Yadav. If you just imprison us I give you my word that hastinapur shursen and kuntibhoj won't attack you. Kansa decides not to harm them and I prisons them instead
Days pass and Devki's first son is born
Kansa comes there and says it's time to sacrifice your son
PRECAP lord Narayan gives Darshan to Devki and requests her to accept him as her son
