About me missing people , I was missing them because off late this place has become debate ground of God is or God is not or Krishna is God or not and I was getting tired of it

Now I did not want to say this but you forced me to open my mouth

😆 I was one of the people who was in that debate. But after getting upbraided (even as of yesterday) for commenting on an actor's make up I got a little 😡

I will refrain, bite my tongue, hold my peace, and whatever else you can think of.

I love reading comments from Shyam, Anjana and you and I think Bheegi and Diala. Did I miss any one the 'humor directors'?

Umm...why were the Pandavas bound with ropes when they got arrested?

And Vrikodar even took 'em off!!

When am talking about the show why do I get a reply quoting the epic or other puranas 😕.. this being EDT I guess I need not mention it in all posts that am talking about the show..

and I dont have the right to say that I dont like arrogant StarKrishna while other star characters like DDSK can be bashed and mocked left right center 😕 and all have fun around it... Why I get answers when I dont raise a question? 😕

ok sorry... that is all for now.. lets get back to search of happiness... 😊

Yes that's what it is anyway guess we should not open our mouth too much 😆

I get the point. all discussions should only be as per your tastes and preferences and with your friends circle.

Others have no right to post their views. Good. Carry on madam Coolbie.

I have a question about the lunch scene in Vidur's house. To me it seemed like Krishna wasn't happy with what Vidur's wife cooked. Hence he picked up a morsel, converted it into a sweet and ate it...as if saying that 'I will eat what I like'. Now I don't want to interpret it like 'no matter what you give me, it will taste like sweets to me'. I can't buy the latter explanation at least not from the way they showed it.

I watched that part and this what I got - (I'll walk you through my thought process)

Highlights:
Bitter leaves = bitterness spread around HP
Dry Bread = dryness (emotionless) spread around HP
Kunti's 1st mind: Revolution should be avoided
Kunti's 2nd mind: Justice shouldn't be denied even at the cost of the universe
Krishna teaching:
happiness can be felt, not attained.
one who feels happiness in materialistic things, is never actually happy and invites his own death (happiness in wealth and power)
Whoever has to live will live, whoever has to die will die.
--happiness needs to be understood, it can't be attained--

He uses the roti to ladoo magic trick to illustrate his points.

1) Bitter / Dry food turned into Sweetness. This can be seen as saying that whatever has been spread around HP will no longer be there. A change for good will happen

2) The biggest lesson Krishna teaches here is that if you understand happiness, you can find happiness. But you can't find happiness without understanding what defines happiness. Happiness does not live in materialistic things, especially not in wealth and power. This is again where the ladoo come into play - to demonstrate the meaning of this - he turns the food into something he finds happiness in - the ladoo. In other words, if you understand what is happiness, then you can get happiness by whatever means possible. Krishna's actions doesn't demonstrate much, but what follows is the biggest part. Kunti and Vidura are both happy to see Krishna enjoying his ladoo, and thus the food they are eating also turns into ladoos. In other words, Krishna is happiness. If you can understand Krishna, then you will be actually happy.
If both were jealous of Krishna's ladoo (their facial expressions were out of love for Krishna), then they wouldn't get the ladoo. This serves to demonstrate that if you want to attain happiness without understanding happiness, you won't get that happiness.

3) Love. Vidura's wife says that she wanted to make the ladoo for Krishna. So Krishna fulfilled her wish because of that love.

There are some things in that scene that I wasn't fond of - like the actual transformation of the ladoo in Krishna's hands ... but looking at it from a general POV, it does come together in the end. It requires a little thinking at our end, but that's what the CVs do best ...

Hope I answered you question somehow 😆
