I am in tears
Hi everyone,
I am usually a silent reader but today...
Mahabharat is shot so beautifully without any drags, so i watch it religiously! I have seen the previous version too and read the books a million times, but despite all that i love this series- the actors, the dialogues, the cinematography, costumes, etc...
Anyway, coming to the reason the post, today's episode and the last couple episodes and my reactions-
I am usually not the kinds who sheds tears at every emotional scene, but Draupadi and Krishna forced it out of me...
Words are not enough to express what i want to tell but i am going to try...
What a beautiful portrayal of Draupadi by Pooja, who brought out the emotions of a woman in distress, in that situation, of Draupadi's mind set, her anger, hurt, betrayal, disappointment, disgust, etc, etc ... and Krishna - his anger and empathy for his friend, wanting to protect his friend, which was portrayed with the right amount of facial expressions but with such an effect that...
my tears were rolling down my cheeks without my realization! my goose pumps...
I was shaken completely for a few minutes until i brought myself together.
Today's episode clearly reflected the situation of the many women in India and world over who are surrounded by rogues and good helpless (nirbal) men who do not do anything. It is sad to see that the situation of most women is same as Draupadi in various degrees of similarity. We all hope the people like Krishna are always going to be there at the end of the tunnel with the light of hope in their hand, but we need more people like him to turn the situation around...
