@ -bharti - lack of citation with the addition of folktales ... always makes things a little tricky to decipher ... but i must say that's a pretty interesting reason

@...Diala... - thanks for the citations ... something i wasn't aware of ... plus the link given by ThePirateKing also states that the rendering of Bhagavad Geeta was on 11/12 day while the war started on 13/14 day

Both Kunti and Madri carried their babies in their wombs.. they got their kids not gifts 😆

right ... no gifts 😛 ... its coz whatever i have read ... Kunti says the mantra and bamb!! appears the baby in her arms 😆

so that means that Kunti carried Karna for 9 months as well? ... and no one figured out? 😲 was she in isolation or something for 9 months?

She has managed it in the maiden quarters of Kunti Bhoja's palace.. Either others dint know or pretended to not know..

Well from what I understood from certain citations is that Kunti Bhoja probably knew. The map showed the Kunti kingdom nowhere closer to Ganga. My guess is that Kunti Bhoja knew and to maintain secrecy sent Kunti away with maids to some ashram in the upper reaches of the Ganga. From there I guess she would have set the baby floating down the Ganga to be found by Adhiratha in Hastinapur.

This is the only logical explanation I could find as to how Kunti's pregnancy could have gone relatively unnoticed.

I am not sure about that citation you say.. but few facts.. Kunti send him afloat in the River Ashwi then transported to Yamuna and then Ganga.. Adiratha found Karna in Champa City

Thanks!! Is that Champa City the one near Bengal or is that some other Champa City? If its the one near Bengal then that was quite a ride for the baby escaping the famous Ganga crocodiles on the way. Did Kunti have spies tracking the baby?
