Dhrishtaketu was Sishupal's son who fought the war on the Pandava side (the other son did not participate, but he fought with Arjun during the Ashwamedha Yagna).

Karenmati was Dhrishtaketu's sister.

Nala Damayanti was a story narrated to the Pandavas during their exile. But those 2 characters themselves are not a part of the dramatis personae of the epic

when karna subjugates all kings of aryavrata for dury, dury conducts a sacrifice similar to rajsuya yajna. Now technically all kings become dury's subjects and dury becomes an emperor somewhat like yudi was earlier so weren't all these kings obligated to fight for dury during kurushetra since karna had subjugated them under dury's name?

This happened w/ a lot of rulers, particularly those of Kalinga & Ayodhya. A good example - Ayodhya. Brihadbala, a descendant of Rama & Kush, was subjugated by Bhima during the Rajasuya yagna, and so became a vassal of the Pandavas. But Karna defeated him again, and so he became a vassal of the Kauravas. He was killed by Abhimanyu shortly b4 the latter's own death.

Drupada too was defeated by Karna, but paid a tribute & left it at that. Since his daughter was married to the Pandavas, there wasn't the expectation that he join the Kaurava side. Virata of Matsya too was subjugated by Karna, but once he gave Uttara to Abhimanyu, he too became committed to the Pandavas. Other allies of the Pandavas by marriage who remained w/ them - Dhrishtaketu of Chedi, Sahadev of Magadha. One ruler I couldn't figure out - the ruler of Kekaya, who doesn't seem to have had any direct relationship w/ the Pandavas (their princess Bhadra was one of Krishna's major wives) but he fought fiercely on the Pandava side. On day 14, he gave Drona a tough time b4 the latter killed him.

Anyway, short answer - a lot of the rulers, if not all, did flip sides once Karna subjugated them.

So mostly those who fought with Pandavas fought because they had given their daughters to them. For kekaya may be his son in law Krishna was with Pandavas. So kurukshetra war is an example of why people in those days indulged in multiple marriages

I know this is not the place for this question but as it's related to your answer I am asking here only
Was Sehdeb of Magadh related by marriage to pandavas??? I

Also what about maternal families of it her chief wives of Krishna?
I know Rukmi didn't participate and satyabhama jamvanti and kalindi weren't from ruling class I guess,

But what about mitravinda, Nagnajiti and lakshmana ?? They were princesses right???

Edit Vrish I found this bit of info on Bhadra. She was daughter of Kunti's real sister. That means there was blood relation between Pandava and kekaya king. Maybe that is why he fought on their side.

Yeah, after Jarasandha's death, one of his daughters married Madri's son Sahadev. As a result, Jarasandha's son Sahadev became an ally of the Pandavas. Actually, Krishna made Sahadev's rajyabhishek conditional on the latter acknowledging Yudhi's suzerainty. So due to a combination of these 2 reasons, Sahadev of Magadha fought on the Pandava side.

Vrihatkshatra was the ruler of Kekaya, and I'm not sure whether he was Bhadra's brother, or nephew or what. However, his relationship w/ the Pandavas seems to have been different from that of Krishna's other in-laws. For instance, Rukmi was declined participation in the Pandava (or Kaurava) army. No offers from Jambavan. Satyabhama had nobody. Similarly, nothing about the families of Kalindi, Satya or Laxmanaa.

Mitravindya had 2 brothers Vinda & Anuvinda, who like Rukmi were enemies of Krishna. Just as Balarama helped Krishna abduct Rukmini, Arjun did so in Mitravindya's case. As a result, Vinda & Anuvinda hated both the Pandavas & Krishna, and so joined the Kauravas. Both were killed on day 16 by Satyaki.

Note that Vinda & Anuvinda were cousins of the Pandavas exactly like Sishupala was. Still, they joined the Kauravas due to their other enmity w/ Arjun & Krishna.
