I agree. even today, pride matters most for them even though it is some FALSE ego.for that matter I can relate to it because even for me pride is everything be it at any cost though I do know difference between pride and FALSE ego.

But saare bhaiyon ka dharma hai jesht ka aadesh manana...so if Yudi decides something, it is THEIR dharma to accept it.

Pandavas are guilty since THEY choose not to abandon their dharma for Drau. And that is where they all fail - despite being Drau's hubbies, they choose to go with their dharma of obeying jesht - even when wifey needs them.

agreed
i guess all pandavas felt yudi has a right on them hence none of them complained about their staking. And if yudi has a right on them then yudi could also take decisions on their behalf.Yes Bhima does protest Draupadi's staking but not before or when she is being staked only after it .I am saying this going as per the actual epic when actual staking is happening none pf the pandavas complain or anything so even they thought that yudi could take decisions on their behalf

and even i think all pandavas are to be blamed for not protecting Draupadi just like in the serial in the actual epic also dury tells them that they along with their wife can go away if they abandon yuhishtir but none of them do not even Bhima. So they follow dharma of following their jesht but fail in their pati dharma that is what i have always wanted to understand

Isnt pati dharma as important? If no then why if yes then why didn't pandavas follow their pati dharma?even a dass is bound by pati harma isnt he?or is a dass's dharma only to follow his swami's order's he has no other dharma?

actually yudi didn't want to accept the invitation he knew that some adharma will happen but he couldn't refuse because of his vow.So he accepted the invitation and left everything on destiny

his gambling addiction or dilemna actually came into play when he staked and lost everything he could have gotten up in between but didnt because he wanted to win everything back

"Yudhishthira said,--'O Kshatta, if we sit to a match at dice, we may quarrel. What man is there, who knowing all this, will consent to gamble? What dost thou think fit for us? We all are obedient to thy counsels.'

"Vidura said,--'I know that gambling is the root of misery, and I strove to dissuade the king from it. The king, however, hath sent me to thee. Having known all this, O learned one, do what is beneficial.

"Yudhishthira said,--'Besides the sons of Dhritarashtra what other dishonest gamblers are there ready for play? Tell us, O Vidura, who they are and with whom we shall have to play, staking hundreds upon hundreds of our possessions.'

"Vidura said,--'O monarch, Sakuni, the king of Gandhara, an adept at

dice, having great skill of hand and desperate in stakes, Vivingati, king Chitrasena, Satyavrata, Purumitra and Jaya, these, O king, are there.'

"Yudhishthira said,--'It would seem then that some of the most desperate and terrible gamblers always depending upon deceit are there. This whole universe, however, is at the will of its Maker, under the control of fate. It is not free. O learned one, I do not desire, at the command of king Dhritarashtra to engage myself in gambling. The father always wisheth to benefit his son. Thou art our master, O Vidura. Tell me what is proper for us. Unwilling as I am to gamble, I will not do so, if the wicked Sakuni doth not summon me to it in the Sabha? If, however, he challengeth me, I will never refuse. For that, as settled, is my eternal vow."

That's going into the discussion in some of the other threads about whether it really was Krishna who saved Draupadi. Actually, it wasn't, and ⭐️B happens to be right on the fact that he was near Dwarka fighting Shalva, who was out to avenge Sishupala. MB states that it was Dharma who saved Yudisthir, which I interpret to be Yamaraj.

That is true!!! Also, Yudisthir was an independent emperor - he owed Dhritarashtra squat as far as obedience went. It was his addiction that took him to Hastinapur, not any sense of dharma, as some Yudisthir apologists claim.

No. Krishna did tell Draupadi that he would have done anything to prevent the game, including killing all the challengers, but he was ambiguous - or silent - on whether he'd have asked Yudisthir to accept or not.
