I think Arjun was aware that the Kurus wanted to shatter the United Pandav Brotherhood (LOL it sounds like a fraternity -- Pi Beta Theta LOL) anyways I digress, so Arjun knew that Duri and Co wanted this so when Bhims ays the following
" i will burn the hands that staked our beloved queen. Sahadev, bring me a furnace!! Turning on his dearest elder brother, the powerful son of the wind god said "Even a drunkard does not gamble away the woman who shares his bed. Yet you did this? You gambled away everything we earned. All our wealth. yet I remained silent for my love for you si far far greater. Then you gambled my younger brothers and I still held my peace for you are our guru, our king and we belong to you. And now this. Did you see how that vile, heinous creature dragged our beloved queen? You are mad!!"
And Arjun tried to calm his brother,
"This is what they want; they want to break us. Have us turn against each other. Do not give them the satisfaction to achieve that motive.Duryodhan will neevr break our unity You have always said Yudhishtir was our father and you speak to him like this at such a time?His spirit is already broken, brother? What will you achieve by this?"
Startled, Bhim looked around and saw himself on the edge of disaster. He let Arjun calm him down and listened to those soothing words with an effort.
