In my opinion not practically possible. I feel Draupadi never banned even the wives from coming to Indraprastha.

I feel the wives would have been in Indraprastha and would have gone back to their respective "maikas" for the duration of the year when it was their husband's turn with Draupadi. The remaining 4 years they would have stayed in Indraprastha only.

Subhadra's case was a bit different as in the eyes of the world it was she who ran away with Arjun so she cannot go back. Draupadi was an empress herself and also would have known enough about politics to ensure that they remain on the right side of the Yadavas especially Balarama.

I'm guessing it's an oversight from KMG...

I mean, if the part about the exile itself mentions them, but they end up "missing" here, then...

TO Indraprastha would mean being within the "kingdom limits", right? The "other" wives either lived in their "maikas" or on the outskirts of the city, right? Except for Subhadra, none of the "other" wives were allowed inside the palace.

I have NOT mentioned anywhere that the Pandavas were banned from visiting their wives. Exactly where they lived after marriage (even within or on the outskirts of the city), even I don't know.

Yes, Subhi ran away with Arjun on her own accord. But when I say, Draupadi "accepted" her on account of being Govind ki behen, I mean, "as a member of the family, like a sister", and not just as "the 'other' wife of Arjuna".

My view, the other wives stayed in different palaces within city limits and except Subhadra were probably not allowed in the main palace. It's practically difficult for ex. Bhima rushing in intervals to Kashi during the 4 years that he has to spend without Draupadi, it would have been noticed and been subject of discussion.

With respect to Subhadra I hold the opinion that more than Govind's sister, it would have been friendship with Yadavas that would have been the deciding factor to differentiate (Yadavas were also Kunti's maika so a sort of double relationship).

I too agree that she din't ban them from Indraprastha.. actually nothing related to this ban is mentioned anywhere.. about her personal conditions of marriage except the once in 5 year and exile parts..
having said that the reasons for Draupadi's jealousy may be one among Subhadra's association with Krishna, her blood relation with Arjuna, her youth and beauty or that Draupadi was never Arjun's wife till that day..
