It is probably because Subhadra is betrothed to Dury. How can he steal the bride of Dury?😆 But after some convincing from Madhav, he will definitely do it.

okieee I buy all of y'all's words but I wanted it to be a mushy mushy love story , coz in reality Arjun was after Subhadra .. I thought atleast this story'll be spared . I know they'll get married but there's no love in the air ...😭😭

Subhi being betrothed to Duri means that for Arjun, AT THE PRESENT MOMENT, Subhi is his maa samaan bhabhi...so it is quite natural for him to say no...also explains his lack of reaction towards her today.

How will he agree to marry her? That will be interesting to watch...
