whats so funny about my creation? 😭

I know there it looks like Arjun put down his bow seeing Karna's kavach while he actually did that on Dhrid's 500 decibel shout 😆 but that was not intentional the number of frames was already high and I could not accommodate Dhrid there 😕

No, I wasn't talking about your creation - I was talking about the storyline itself. Whenever I write about it, I just can't stop laughing 😆

Your creation is lovely, and there on pg 1 from now on

And, O Bharata, Duryodhana with his brothers thereupon embraced Karna in joy and then addressed him saying, 'Welcome O mighty-armed warrior! I have obtained thee by good fortune, O polite one! Live thou as thou pleasest, and command me, and the kingdom of the Kurus.' Kama replied, 'When thou hast said it, I regard it as already accomplished. I only long for thy friendship. And, O lord, my wish is even for a single combat with Arjuna.'

And the royal umbrella was held over his head, while Yak-tails waved around that redoubtable hero of graceful mien. And the cheers, having ceased, king (Karna) said unto the Kaurava Duryodhana, 'O tiger among monarchs, what shall I give unto thee that may compare with thy gift of a kingdom? O king, I will do all thou biddest!' And Suyodhana said unto him, 'I eagerly wish for thy friendship.' Thus spoken to, Karna replied, 'Be it so.' And they embraced each other in joy, and experienced great happiness.'

In early age he made friends with king Duryodhana, led by an accident and his own nature and the hate he bore towards you all. Without doubt, the affection thou bearest to every one of thy pupils is equal to what thou bearest to thy own son. I pray that all the masters of the science of weapons may, through thy grace, regard me as one accomplished in weapons!' Thus addressed by him, Drona, from partiality for Phalguna, as also from his knowledge of the wickedness of Karna, said, 'None but a Brahmana, who has duly observed all vows, should be acquainted with the Brahma weapon, or a Kshatriya that has practised austere penances, and no other.' Thus addressed by Rama, Karna came away, having duty taken his leave. Arriving then before Duryodhana, he informed him, saying, 'I have mastered all weapons!'

I am still wondering about this.. If Karna and Duryodhan were childhood friends.. I dont think so from what I read above.. Both Karna and Duryodhana seek each others friendship in the Talent display arena which is unnecessary if they were childhood friends.. Also in Stri parva Narada says they became friends accidentally. Childhood friendships are gradual aren't they? with these I am convinced that they became friends in the HP talent contest and not before..

also when Karna was in Parasurama's school looks like he was a wealthy man as he was ready to give kine, wealth and gems.. once he left Parasurama he comes straight to Duryodhana saying I have mastered all weapons... so I presume he was King of Anga when he went to Parasurama.. He requested Drona for Brahma weapon at Hastinapur and not in the Gurukul and most probably at that time Drona had already taught Arjuna the same..
this is what Villi Bharatham confirms too

Having analyzed what's written, here are the conclusions I drew:
  • Karna did learn elementary archery from Drona, but probably in a different class from the Kurus or other royals. In other words, while the Kuru princes may have known him by name, it's unlikely that they knew him any more than that
  • Karna did not ask Drona for the Brahma weapon i.e. the Brahmashira until Arjun had it. Arjun didn't have that weapon until his second stint under Drona, after the defeat of Drupada. There, Drona first taught Arjun, and then Ashwatthama that weapon, but refused to teach Karna
  • Karna then approached Parashurama, deceiving him and then going thru that whole saga, including that cow owner's curse
So, if we put it on a timeline, it would be something like this:
  1. Karna is among the non-royal students of Drona, and learns elementary archery. Being as talented and thriving as he was, he went on to be Arjun's equal
  2. At the Hastinapur tournament, Karna gatecrashed the event and matched each of Arjun's feats
  3. Following the tournament, the Kurus & the Pandavas both make attempts on Drupada, and the Pandavas capture him
  4. Following that, Arjun spends a year under Drona's special tutelage, while Karna goes out & seeks Parashurama after Drona rebuffs his request on the Brahmashira
  5. After he gets cursed & released from Parashurama, he goes & tells Duryodhan that he's mastered that weapon
