Pranipaat has been used in 'Namaskar' sense in this series.
And I remember Shakuni addressing Dhritarashtra as 'Behnoishree' in front of Pandu. Later he started addressing as Maharaj.

Coming to the language used, I feel a mytho need not be bulked with tooth breaking Sanskrit words (no offense to anyone who knows the language). It can be simple Hindi like that used in Uttar Pradesh with special attention against using any foreign words. 'Matashree, Pitahshree, Taatshree, Mamashree' are fine I think, as they have not directly been taken from any foreign language. I am not confirm about 'Bhanja' though.

Gandhari saying Pranipaat to Yudhi was a big blooper 😆

In your above scenario, Virata should speak the Mewari dialect - I think Matsya would be in the Mewar region of Rajputana.
