So draupadi being born a kashtriya was in her right to marry a brahmin if she wished.The kashtriyas were hurt because the swaymvara was based on archery contest, a brahmin weilding a weapon and winning hurt their ego.It was just baseless talk that a women as beautiful as draupadi shouldnt spend the rest of her life with a poor brahmin.That is why brahmins were allowed to participate in the swayamvar in the first place because if they wished they could try to win draupadi too.
But no one expected them to.

But a woman was not allowed to marry in a lower cast since it would lower her status too.

Thus, draupadi also was in her right to refuse karna as a husband as he was famously known as a suta putra by all the kings and kingdoms.
But the kings protesting a brahmin marrying draupadi was baseless and just their jealousy.

@medha- yr rule boys n girls dono k liye samethi yr aur same h ...agar kch chnge hota h depand karta h sitution kya thi..aur shadi karna wala kitna strong tha...btw yeh baat chodte h.
Draupadi n sayad Krishan ko balram s yeh bolte hue sun liya tha ki yeh Arjun h 😛

@abhi nahi bahen dono genders ke liye na tab aur naa ab rules same hai.
But dwaper yug ka intercast marriage rules to mahabharat me samjhaya hua hai.Bheeshma ne dharma per bohot bada lecture diya aur saare cast duties, intercast marriage rules bhi bataye yudhishtir ko.
even then girls per bohot saare rules and limitations the and aj bhi hai.
yes, it is even said ki draupadi ke samne krishn ne jaan bujh kar bola tha lol.

medha, lagtaa hain har jagah krishna the mahabharat mein laakshaagriha ke baad mein, aur baat rahi paramparaa ki, agar paramparaa asuvidhaajanak aur haanikaarak ho, toh use badalnaa adharma nahi dharma hain.

Yes har jagaha bas Krishan aur Arjun hi rahege...infact jab pandavas 12year k vanbas p jayge tab bhi krishana wha aate jate rahege...bas agyaatwad m nhi yhi.
