Each quality up there is admirable. What has always been inspirational for me about Karna is his incredible passion and incentive to go forth in the face of all obstacles that had threatened to obliterate his path towards his goal. And as a character he is the most enigmatic his comparative restraint in the company of the Kauravas is telling of his inner conflict.

I went with the 3rd option - his gratitute/loyalty because a/c to my pov, that was the supreme characteristic of Karna. I admire him more for his Loyalty than his generosity...He was a Man of COMMITMENT!! ek bar jo commitment kar li uske baad to Bhagwan ki bhi nahi sunne wala.. 😛 😊 ⭐️

actually I admire rather say idolize everything about Karna .. He was the greatest personality of Karna .. may be not flawless still Greatest .. one whom I respect more than God n for me when a human-born exceeds God with HIS humanity he is the ultimate HERO .. anyway the only point I disagree here is having a sacred soft corner with Pandavas .. having soft corner for enemies has nothing sacred in it .. but fighting with honesty and without any unfair means even with enemies .. was sacred on his part .. then there are thousand of stories of his generosity, he is an iconic figure of Friendship .. He is the one who sacrificed Crown for Friendship while each n everyone in Mahabharat was fighting for the right over Crown n power .. KARNA is the real HERO .. my HERO of childhood, adulthood and will be the same in my old age too

Karma Yoga at its best...

Do you have an option for this, Vrish? I clicked on "other"

Other is fine for this. I hadn't exactly counted this as a virtue, as it also implied him fighting on the side of adharm (yeah, I know, I know, Duryodhan is considered legit by some posters here, but one gets the idea) Too bad that his dharam & dharam flew in the faces of each other

He had a soft corner for his brothers, who he didn't really consider his enemies once he got to know his identity. Remember, Krishna offered him the option of accepting leadership of the Pandavas. He declined, telling him that if Yudisthir gave him the crown, he'd give it to Duryodhan to repay his friendship, & that would be injustice to the Pandavas.

If Karna truly regarded the Pandavas as his foes, he'd have done precisely that - accepted Krishna's & Kunti's offers, taken it & then turned around & gifted it to Duryodhan. If Yudisthir could stake his kingdom, then Karna too could have just given away their kingdom, and it wouldn't have been considered unethical. That he chose not to, and even asked Krishna to keep that a secret until his death, shows that he too believed that the Pandavas deserved justice for all the wrongs they had suffered, including from himself.

This post was about Karna, not Aham. We don't really know how Karna's body was 😆

Actually that soft corner for his brothers after Krishna & Kunti approached him personally is a treachery to his friendship with Duryodhana.
Duryodhana depends so much on him. He knows how Bhishma, Drona, even Shalya felt for Pandavas. Only Karna the only Commander who (he thinks) would fight Pandavas wholeheartedly. If he had problem killing the 4 pandavas he should mentioned that to the one that made him kshatriya, "look bro, i just found out that blah blah.. So as promised earlier I will only kill Arjuna after that leave me out of this as I won't kill the rest anyway!.."

If he killed at least Yudhisthira & Twins, or even Bhima (Bhima retracted back his attack on Karna was his own problem, not Karna's) the result would be different.

I'm a fan of Karna & Duryodhana also, I always dream a movie of Karna, from Karna's point of view only..

you have points .. agree .. but you can't call it ditching ,. he promised to a woman .. that was it and killing Arjun would have ended the hope of Pandava's side so he wasn't bothered about others. That's y after Duryadhan come to know about Karna's truth after his death he never despise him or blamed him for anything and still claimed the right of doing his pyre with dignity. me too respect Karna a lot and yes I respect Duryadhan too .. basically its their friendship what I value most in mahabharat
