And parents only used to arrange teachers for their kids.

So arguing on this point is useless...

being cursed was a boon and natures way to carry the story forward and to bring twist in climax 😆

it was to end the persisting fatality at that time for example Vishnu ji and Lakshmi ji were making love and they ignored Rishi Durwasa who enetered their home without knocking so embarrassed he was that to hide his own embarrassment he cursed them to be separated. Guess what if he did not curse them then Vishnuji would never have the need to take Ram or krishn avtar so ravan and duryodhan would have kept on creating hevok

I can tell many more examples if those curses would not have happened then life would never have come to an ordered life 😆😆😆

Jo hota hai achche ke liye hi hota hai 😉😃

Karna was not his grandson.

At any rate, it's a valid question, which Karna could have asked Parashurama - why was Bheeshma okay but he wasn't?

Somewhere I've also read that he used to train the Kshatriyas too, before his battle with Bheeshma.

The reason Karna got cursed was his 'Lie'. But he was destined to be cursed as he himself didn't know he's a Kshatriya. So even if Parashurama had accepted him after his confession of being a Sut, he would have been cursed in that case too.

Now coming to the 'Most deserving' student -

Bheeshma, Drona and Karna were the students of Parashurama. Bheeshma tops the category because he remained invincible forever...having the pure character of a true warrior i.e. he never cheated. Even in the great war, unfair means began after his fall. Apart from this, his great respect and devotion towards his Guru earned him praises and yet another boon to remain invincible forever by his Guru as well as the gods.

This is not an article, I'm the author of this post 😆

And let me correct you, Devavrata was actually Bheeshma and not Karna 😊
