Shaheer Sheikh as Arjun
The makers of mythological show Mahabharathave put in a lot of effort to perfect the portrayal of Arjun.
Shaheer Sheikh, who plays the role, says, "Arjun was the mightiest archer of all time and his ekagrataa (concentration) is cited as an epitome even today. In the show, viewers will see him as a Shwetambar (dressed in white) as it evokes the attributes of peace and calm, both essential for concentration. Golden colour has also been used in his attire, keeping in mind his royal background. For the war scenes, the stylist has used the symbol of eagle " it symbolises Arjun's sharp eye, deadly aim and royal lineage."
The character has also changed Shaheer as a person. He says, "Playing Arjun has made me more disciplined. I have been working hard on my body and fitness. I have also been training in archery, sword-fighting and horse-riding. The character has left a strong imprint on my mind. I am now living his way of life."
Mahabharat airs Monday to Friday at 8.30 pm on Star Plus.
