Awesome post. I always love reading your explanations 😃Originally posted by: rasyafan
Had Shantanu not fallen in love with Satyavati then both Bheeshm and Satyavati would have been perfect couples not just in terms of their own chemistry but because they were a great team they had mutual understanding and compatibility, they both were intelegent, both respected each other, knew so well how to run a rajya, they were politically avair of their country and the entire aryavrat, just think if Bheeshm would have been a king then the janta would have benefited so well and Both would have maintained that Dharm is established. Bheeshm was such a learned strong willed Man.
I don't believe in this serial what they are showing or how they projected Satyavati's charatcer. For me this does not exist only. Forgoton it already.
Bharatvarsh has always been unlucky when it comes to their leader after the golden era she has seen before foreign invasion 😭😭😭 till right now we are unable to flourish real well according to our might and ability till today this country has so much of brain intelligence and will power of youth is so strong. We are passionate beings but alas our passion is being wasted on useless things.
Bheeshm became an eternal yogi and brahamcharya 😆

I feel like bursting into tears the moment "Bed of arrows" strikes my mind. I'm hyper emotional 😆 and so attached to Mahamahim...

Sorry but this has been altered ( the part which I highlighted ) , Bheeshma never said that Karna is equal is Krishna, Nobody is equal to Krishna Other than Shiva because they are supreme beings , As far as i have read on many sites bhishma told karna that he is greatest archer in the world and the best disciple of lord Parshurama only krishna himself can excel him , not arjun ,not bheeshma only Krishna.
Bheeshma was right about Karna, Only Krishna himself exceled him, the 3 curses, indra and kunti's efforts and Krishna's brilliance excelled him it took these things to take down the mighty KARNA.
Nice post, this is one of my most favourite events because it features two of the most strongest and loneliest personalities in the Mahabharat. If there were any from the Mahabharata who knew what true loneliness was it was both Bheeshma and Karna. Each one led a very burdensome life because on the one hand they were bound by their word and at instances in their life these very oaths rebounded back on them when they were faced with moral duties; the scene bespeaks their sense of their existential condition and pointlessness of desires but above all their sincere mutual respect and acknowledgement for each others valour amid all the suffering.
The meeting that occurred with Bheeshma lying in the bleak desert of the aftermath in his his arrow filled bed and Karna who comes to pay his respects, is one of the most poignant moments that I remember from the old show. Does anyone recollect the BRC MB scene when this happens? That scene just strikes a chord with one, it spelt perfection in everything ffrom the juxtaposition of the melancholy music, to the tinge of sadness and affection in Bheeshmas voice as he talks to Karna and Karna standing at his feet in solemn attendance to Bheeshmas words to his profound reverence and deep respect for Bheeshma as he greets him in a way he never had, to Bheeshmas glow of pride for Karna as he watches a great man walking away into the night,. The deep mutual respect they shared for each other, a solemn picture against the inevitable crisis each found themselves embroiled in and their tragic relationship as a result of their isolated fate.
