I accept your logic about behaving wrong with elders in the SP MB...the way Bheem behaved with Karna that was really odd..

I mean Karna may be sutaputra but he was elder to Bheem..

Why the Dharmaraj Yudhistir was silent then?? couldn't he stop his Brother from this Adharma???

And I think in those days they gave proper respect to all person who were elder irrespective of the caste from which he/she belongs..even if they did not, a comment like that was totally unexpected from the great second pandav..isn't is?

Panchali, if Karna was a citizen and Bhima a prince, Bhima would be superior in stature, regardless of age. In that era, older citizens would bow to younger princes, since it was the job of the latter to protect them. So the usual age differences didn't apply to people from different stations.

In this case, Bhima had no idea that Karna was his elder half-brother. It was not until after Karna's death after the war that Kunti revealed all that to them. But this is true to the original - Bhima did mock Karna as a suta, and asked him to take the reins of a chariot. It's arguable whether it was an insult or not, since that was Karna's caste from his adoption. Nonetheless, while Bhima is my favorite MB character, that's the one act of his that I've never liked.

What I fail to understand is what was the need to show Ashwathama talking insolently to Dronachraya ? Kauravas making crap remarks about Pandu / Kunti, I can digest, but Ashwathama talking rudely to his father?
Why would he, in the first place? Dronachrya never had misplaced loyalties. Ashwathama was his dear son- he never hid that fact from anyone. So why would Ashwathama talk so insolently to his own father? That's simply incomprehensible.

If my kids dared to talk like that to their father, they've had it from me.

Second - Karna too would never have behaved or talked back to Dronacharya- a respected Guru. If you want to be taken as a shishya, you aren't improving your prospects by counter arguing. Being a respected / valued teacher and a brahmin, there was no way Karna would have talked back to Dronacharya.

The dialogue writers really need to wake up.

Today's episode was the height of rudeness, both on Karna's & Bhima's part. There is no way the original Karna would have been this hostile to the Pandavas, had Kunti spoken to him this early.

After Kunti told the Pandavas that Karna was like an elder brother to them, Nakul made a sarcastic remark about him being a brother like Duryodhan. This would have been unthinkable by the original Pandavas - to insult Kunti like that. If anything, it would have made them curious about why. Then again, Karna, who did get the satisfaction of fighting Arjun, would not be so hostile to them, as shown here. He would have been more willing to listen to Kunti.

Similarly, while Bhima was aggressive in his hatred of his enemies, there is no way he would have stamped w/ his feet the lotus that Karna offered his mother. That was absolutely crass. Here, not only did Bhima do it, but neither Kunti nor Yudisthir told him a word, which is completely uncharacterestic of both.

In the original story, it was the Pandavas who were hostile to Karna, not vice versa. Karna was embittered by those insults, but his hatred for the Pandavas grew over time due to events like Draupadi's swayamvara and so on. It only melted away when Krishna & Kunti told him who he really was. Here, they are trying to distort it to make Karna a pure villain, but in the process, they're also making him a lot ruder than he would have been had the circumstances in question taken place.

When Karna & Kunti met, one of the questions he asked her was why she had never spoken up b4 then. But now, w/ this track, there is no way he can ask that. I'm really curious of how they'd show this meeting b/w them just b4 the war.

Also, Karna insulting Subhadra - fictitious on so many levels, don't know where to start. 😡 Karna probably never even met Subhadra.
