Today they showed Dhrit doubting that Duryo plotted something wrong against the Pandavas. He opposed this move 😲

Next they will project Arjuna as the supreme savior whereas in reality it was Bhima. Also, Vidura's message was first understood by Yudhi.

Btw, the Nishada woman who died with her sons was invited by Purochana right? To assist him in killing the family.

shruti, didn't pandavas invited the nishada woman & her sons ??? so that they can fool the conspirators into thinking that the burnt 6 bodies r that of kunti & pandavas😕?????correct me if im wrong.

Either she was invited by Purochana...or she was there just for shelter. Pandavas didn't invite her. But yes, she along with her family were left to die. It must have been Kunti's idea!

Actually the nishaad woman and her 5 sons were invited by Kunti for the sole purpose of leaving skeletons behind in the House of Lac after the Pandavas escape. Otherwise Duryodhan and Shakuni would have known they had escaped. Kunti told her sons that she would take the sin of killing them on her own self.

^^ Thanks for the clarification. I didn't know Kunti herself invited them. That's why she died in the forest fire.

Any citation for this please? As far as I remember she did not invite them in particular but a feast was arranged to show off that they were comfortable in Varanavat... The 6 feasted and boozed and fell there off intoxicated.. as they were 5+1 their bodies were misunderstood to be Pandavas'+Kunti's.. It wasn't planned by them.. nevertheless, they never bothered about others in the palace being killed.. so adding this 6 or not would not modify their account of sins.. 😈

yes the servants of the palace.. other visitors might have stayed there too.. these 6 get a special mention for later misunderstanding..

Did the makers ever reveal the sources for their version of the story ? I know there are versions of Ramayana but there are versions of Mahabharata too?? Mahabharata is called panchama vedam. It is a text of social sciences. Some of the stories are morally repugnant to begin with, why mess with the good ones ( even if you purely look from a story perspective) .
I am not seeking justification from the makers, just proof that this story line is written somewhere. Afterall, like my grand mother said, "Pustakam Pramaanam" . Only written word is true...

I agree w/ Ddiala. I've not heard of Kunti ever trying to contrive a situation where she & her sons would be mistaken as dead. I'd be curious if it were in the texts.

As for MB versions, the only original ones are the ones written by Vyasa's disciples. The one that's cited here is usually Vaisampayana while the other is written by Jamenaya. Everything else is either folk tales, or even newly invented stuff, like what this serial is showing (like Kunti being so concerned about Karna @ this stage)

Its universally accepted that Vyasa wrote/composed the Mahabharata with the help of Ganesha .. If thats the case then Vyasa Mahabaharat is the only authentic version because Vyasa was telling the story of his descendants .. Dhritarashtra, Pandu, Vidura are his sons afterall ..All other versions if they exist are merely spin offs .. Its not the case with Ramayan as Vamiki's Ramayan is only the most popular version .. Again its considered so because Valmiki was a contemporary of Rama .. But you also have Bhavartha Ramayan, Ananda Ramayan, Kamban's version etc .. Thats the difference between Mahabharatha and Ramayana wrt interpretations ..

I would def want to know which versions if SP referring to ? I guess they trying to pull a fast one by saying that these figments of imagination are products of other versions .. Nice excuse. And I doubt this version required 4 years of painstaking research .. maybe they took time cooking up imaginary story lines and how best to push Arjun into each and every Mahabharat event ..
