Love at first sight, mother sentiment, music, vengeance and finaly suspense - Full packed masala entertainer episode today. So sad abt this. 🤢🤢

Am liking the entertainment but not at the cost of the story line please. Still having hopes. Hope they hear us and go the right way..

Still could not take eyes our of Karna. We maintained attitude. Happy he dint join the kauravs in laughing at Arjun. But neither Karn or Arjun were sharp tongued. They speak with their actions.

Arjun washing Karna's foot - haha.. too emotional. Imagine how Kunti would react 😆

I know CV's can take some creative liberties in the name of improvisation, but the major deviations in the story they are showing is such crap!
The whole kreedangan display of skill was dragged and altered to make Duryodhan win over Pandavas and Arjun being the only competent pandava. This is not how it is originally written.
Karna and Arjuna's duel never happened, they only duelled in war.
Kunti is being shown meek and weak, who only cares about karan. She was a very strong woman with a keen sense of what was politically correct for her sons.
Subhadra's visit to Hastinapur never happened, she only met Arjun much later, and didn't even know he was Arjun when she met him. Arjun being reprimanded for insulting Ang Raj Karan is another cock and bull story.
When EK made Mahabharat, she modified the story acc. to her whim and the CV's here are doing the same. As long as creative liberties are taken provided the end result does not change, it is ok, but here, they have made glaring character errors.

Agree with everything you said except for the bold part. Arjun and Karna's duel did happen in the contest but the sun set and there was no result of this contest. However, Arjun and Duryodhan's duel never happened in the contest. In fact, Duryodhan only fought with Bheem in the contest, and I think then Bheeshma stopped it so there was no result in that contest either.

Rightly said. At this point there is far too much fictionalisation taking place over actual principal events. The need to overcomplicate the story is ruining Mahabharatas essential ideas. What's the point in adding unnecessary things like Ashwattama being directed on the wrong path by Shakuni so early in the story when his real vengeance was fed only after his father was killed, and kuntis maid who reminds her of her secret. Also the overplay on Kuntis sadness about Karna is somewhat tedious, grossly interpreted as if she was as much a victim as he. You're exactly right what you said bout her political motives and here they have simply shunned this for so called drama that's getting too mediocre but more so to make her pitiable which is just ridiculous. she had made a clear mistake in fear of society when she abandoned Karna, in.a way its pitiable but in another way tis not. This Kunti has failed to make an impression, she is feeble compared to previous characterisations who projected strength, real dignity and grace and you actually empathised with them whilst at the same time didn't verily due Kuntis act of weakness and injustice to her firstborn.
Other elements of the story that bug me how slow moving some scenes r that ought not b, too much importance gifted on a superficial nonexistent moment, ie Karna meeting Kunti n in front of pandavas and offering a flower, felt too contrived and uninteresting. I like the assembly scenes because things get done. The grand scale of the canvas on which the story unfolds n larger than life characters is tremendous but often this distracts from the value that lies deeper underlying the surface and I find that the show skims the surface without trying to delve deeply into meaning eg emotions prevail more than language, the recent Karna Kunti scenes and continual petty quarrellings between Pandavas n Kauravas, its just less effective when they literally point it out via characters dismissing each other.

Precisely!!! At least w/ the kids, the interaction b/w the Pandavas & Kauravas was believable. But once they returned to Hastinapur, everything has gone for a tailspin, particularly from what looks like a PR attempt by the CVs to whitewash Kunti, who otherwise looks really ugly vis a vis Karna in the original story. And in an attempt to glorify who I don't know - Arjun or Shaheer - the other Pandavas are reduced to dunces, while Arjun starts playing roles, like the leader of the Pandavas, that he never played.

At least w/ the kids, when Y & B were running things, things looked believable.

Another thing that showed is that Arjun and the rest of Pandavas seeing Subdhara at Hastinapur. Arjun met Subdhara after being married to Draupadi. here they have introduced Subdhara first. Then there is no shoe of the gurudakshina scene of Guru Drona when he asks Panchal Raja's captive.
The cvs are misleading us.

The show has become intolerable to the core ever since the adult clan has entered. It started off well despite of deviations but now I'm feeling like watching a crap daily soap.

The dialogue writers are pathetic. Sanskrit is a distant dream for them, but even their Hindi isn't up to the mark.

And perhaps I don't need to mention the pathetic acting, expressions(?) and flat dialogue delivery by the newcomers (except Karna).
