Completely agree, n what with those faces she was making ?? N what about those sounds she was making ?? I was watching with my father n he was shaking his head all the time, as he was watching this Star Bharat for the first time , n got shocked at this representation of our age old epic. It was so embarrassing to watch it with dad. I hung my head in shame for watching such a distorted show.😭

Even I was ashamed of watching this episode.

Well didn't Krishna by his divine authority assure Drupad that Arjun would show up for the swayamvar?

It's a shame that Drupad didn't think that the Brahmin was Arjun ... i mean the clues were all there, heck Krishna himself assured him of it.

Agree with you, and why would Draupadi joke about her to-be-husband's real identity is beyond me. I mean if I were her, I would definitely have been anxious until I made sure that the person I'm about to marry is indeed the person I'm thinking him to be.

Well according to Starjuna, Krishna did assure her... but she assured herself by drawing a mustache and beard on Arjuna's painting... but what's even more is she tried to get her husband to reveal his identity even when she knew that something must have been up for Arjun to a) give a different name and b) come in the guise of a Brahmin.
Or maybe the Gods didn't give her that intelligence because of Drupad's curse ...

OT: I kind of feel bad that I'm "criticizing" the original heros of the MB because of Starjuna. They were definitely nothing like how they are portrayed here and every time I write something about them (original), it makes me a little sad.

Precisely. I feel bad particularly writing about Arjun here, since he wasn't such a larger than life figure than one would think, both from watching this serial, as well as from following this forum

Example: a historian would not state that the Pandavas were born to Yamaraj, Vayu, Indra, Ashwins. They'd either put the father down as Pandu, or speculate some about who it really was. Similarly, events, like Yudisthir's afterlife, or Arjun's activities in devalok, would not be a part of history.

But things like the Pandava Rajasuya yagna & conquests, the Pandava exile, Karna's conquests for Duryodhan, the Kurukshetra war, the Ashwamedha yagna, et al, would be historical, and described in a factual manner in any historical narrative.

Similarly, in Krishna's war on Banasura, no historian would write that Krishna battled and overwhelmed Shiva. They'd simply state that Krishna had a war w/ Banasura, and liberated Anirudha & Usha from him.

Hopefully, you get the idea.

oh thn it sipmly means that the facts which r wriiten in EPIC...historians will collect all those but will not believe that a child can take birth without ny physical relations btween a male n female...right????
oh...got it that they will evn not believe in all those devs but will give the name to pandvas evn sm other biological father...so they dont believe in all supernatural powers...they dont believe in devtas n all...hump if they dont believe in GOD too???

Do you actually think that historians would write that 'God did this or God did that'? Such a country would have to be a theocracy b4 they allowed the education system to have such additions in it. As it is, in the US, when some states are allowing 'Intelligent Design' to be taught in substitute of evolution, it's creating a controversy.

If in any school history book, they write that Karna was born to Kunti of Surya as a result of Durvasa's boon, they'd get instantly dinged. They're much safer simply writing that Pandu's 5 sons were the Pandavas, who waged a war against the Kauravas and won.

Yup, only saving grace was Bheeshma -Vidur conversation , at least it was from the original epic n the only scene from yesterday's epi that looked like from a mytho show. 😉

i don't watch all episodes. i've to watch some episodes. thank god! Mahabharat's repeated slot telecasts on every midnight. i easily watch it daily.
i've a doubt.

did vysya tell pandavas about draupadi's prophecy? today i read written update. i'm surprised to hear this. why are pandavas shocked after hearing kunti's words?🤔

didn't draupadi know about shiva's boons? i don't see about draupadia and shiva conversation.🤔

in the precap, why was draupadi shocked?🥱

So what do you believe if Mahabharat really happened? It must've happened in one version.. can't cover both historical version and mythologocal version at once..

I do believe that the historical incidents happened. Since I'm not an Atheist, I believe that the celestial incidents (Arjun-Urvashi, Yudisthir-Indra) also happened, but the latter ain't something I'd cite if having a historical discussion
