I know.😆 His six pack coming soon.. Yet one mukka/punch can transfer anyone near Yamloka or, in hospital, indeed. Don't underestimate the power of Lahiri Saab's kilo-kilo ka haath ka mukka.😎

They can wear gold as long as it doesn't look like an armour! What Kunti wears looks like one. I am sorry, I don't like it one bit! 😆 I wish she had worn a normal necklace like the others.

also, Don't forget about IT office, they didn't existed in that era. Hence, a little bit of extra show off won't create havoc on Income Tax department to start raid-and-seal @ there.😎 Then why Fear? Have Rishi's Navaratna oil in head and let's tune "Thandha, Thandha, cool, cool."🥳

IT offices did existed but it was only meant for the common men. It was under the control of the King and his ministers, so why would they raid on their own king and queen? Tax was called - kar / lagaan, but they were all collected by the king's own revenue department (Rajasva). Tax was always required for govt expenditures, public welfare and maintaining the army. But as corruption was always there- this tax collected was used for buying luxury comforts for the kings and queens and not for its real purpose. hence so much of jewellery!! and this is why royalty was distinguished by their tons of jewellery!
well let it be ! lets enjoy the fashion show 😆

Yes Shiv Priya the king used to take taxes from traders
in fact Chanakya in his book Kautilya Niti said that nothing should be free
he even started taking taxed on the wood which were cut for burning pyres.

but the king also did a lot for the public as well
they used to build temples and inns (sarai) for pilgrimages and which we call now a days dharam shalas and stay there was free
they used to plant a lot of fruit trees so that yatri (travelers) could do their stomach worship 😆 pait pooja on the way to pilgrimages.
They used to help poor too give food clothing daan punya bahut hota tha
and yes the royal employees were given salaries incentives etc. They were too expensive as well.
So tax lena is justified if your praja is happy.

People in those days were recognised by their POSHAK-meaning clothes & jewellery & as PAndu's wife meaning Hastinapur crown queen means almost half India ruler .would have to wear so much jewellery as it would be sign of her Status and also well being of the kingdom.YOu wuld notice even common men used to wear gold those days,so if she wears so much Gold ,its her prestige!!!!!Plus those days only gold was used in ornaments except maybe very poor w ho wore silver,Rest of metals was unheard of!!1
