To those of you reading Ajaya, how are you finding it so far?

My only qualm I have is I find that the author is overcompensating maybe a little too much for preexisting misrepresentations about characters that have been warped through time something which he speaks of in the intro.
This blunt idea that clothes characters in either good and evil as if they can only be ascribed to one or the other, that there is a tendency to lean towards the other end of the extreme as a result of overcompensating for the disproportionate imbalance in characters but unfortunately the same mistake of condemning one party whilst accentuating the other as good by contrast is made. in perversing the idea of goodness and evil as particularly as belonging to a set of characters over another. There ought to be a happy medium between polar opposites, where the human imperfections as well as more positive values emerge from all characters. Drona and the pandavas are absolutely unpleasant by comparison, the shift of humbleness from pandavas to Kauravas is eye opening but I wish that every character was shown both its strength and weaknesses rather than highlighting only some good or bad over the other. At the base the comparison is sharp, the author has simply subverted the idea of bad by shedding new light on the Kauravas through their perspectives, but its a shame that other characters are reduced to more negative dispositions.

hat aside, I'm enjoying the story immensely, I repeat immensely, and development of characters like Bhishma, Vidhur, Karna especially Duryodhana the books romantic dreamer.. The author has tremendous command over the narrative and fabricates a mood akin to the ominous depth of the epic. The very idea of reexamining predisposed ideas that have formed from our cultural civilization is truly admirable as well as appreciation of the finer human qualities that the Kauravas are shown to possess. The systematisation of values and traditions within chracters enforces us to review truth, it becomes clear that the so called civilised trap themselves within webs of illusion and ideals while the humanistic perspectives n compassions of the romanticised outsider characters outshine them and their comparatively absurd theories. Duryodhana is hard not to fall for in this book. Also Karna is totally pitiable..the depression that swallows him is heart-wrenching and moving, but his talk that followed with Kripa who tells him to strive for his goal whatever may come. Vidhur character has been illustrated so well. I really became captivated right from where story begins between Bhishma and Gandhari. Atmospheric and set the tone to follow from..tragedy is written everywhere in the story.

I am so disappointed with the cvs. They have completely ruined the essence of Karna & Duryodhan's friendship which was real and genuine. My one more reason to watch this show was the unflinching loyalty of Karna-Duryodhan towards each other but the cvs ruined their friendship. 😡

The channel has ruined a great Epic from the start. The beautiful loyal friendship which both these two men possessed have been veiled. Next the show is trying to showthat Adhirath taught Karna to be a "Daani". What nonsense??!! 😡

Karna was born to be a DAANVEER. His first donation was his faith and loyalty to his friend Duryodhan. The show makers are so stupid. I mean the creatives themselves are projecting that they are big fools. Next we shall see Arjuna saving all from Lakshagriha which is again wild and imaginary. 😡 Because we know what actually happened in that griha. This is utter crap and an insult to a great soul like Karna. Go to Hell channel!!!! 😡
