No. Amba was reborn as Shikandini, the daughter of Drupad. Mahadev told Drupad that she was destined to be his son, so like Chitrangada @ Manipur, Shikandini was brought up as a boy. When it came age to marry, Shikandini married the daughter of King Hiranyavarma, but when her wife discovered that she was a woman, she complained to her father, and Hiranyavarma was on the verge of waging war against Drupada. Shikandini went to end her life, but a gandharva took pity on her & swapped genders. He was later cursed by Kubera to remain female until Shikandi died.

Shikandi came back a man, and a crisis was averted. He was a complete man and nobody in the war was reluctant to either hire him, nor fight him. The Pandavas made him one of the Akshauni commanders, while Kaurava warriors like Ashwatthama & Kritavarma had no hesitation fighting him.
