PROLOGUE

"Madam wake up! Here is your food" One attendant calls her while Madhu looks at him disorientated. Then her frown turned into disgust.

"What's this? I don't want a single morsel of food from here. I will rather die than living under him".

"Mam please!" attendant Ria softly requested her seeing her stubbornness. They now understood what drew their Don to Madhu, despite her permanent hatred for him in her heart. Her doggedness.

Madhu looked on. Her tear stricken face worried all of them to hell.

"Mam our Don loves you crazily" says Roma, another attendant.

Madhu looked at herself disgusted. "I am only living for some one. My heart is already dead with the death of my husband. I will kill this Don if he has any ideas about me".

Others looked at her worried. They are sure they will lose their job if she stays hungry. Their Don is already watching her from the CCTV Camera fixed on the corner of the wall.

Madhu looked at her surrounding and wondered once again if this is how kidnapped people are hidden. She was kidnapped a day ago and brought forcefully into a Palace. The place was nothing like she imagined. It looked extravagant and exquisite...with lots of antique items decorating the hall and each and every inch of the Palace. She could very well say that the Don had tastefully carved the huge Palace. It seemed he was so particular about the colours and the designs. There were so many well dressed attendants who were waiting for her order. Except revealing the reason for her kidnap. They didn't let out a word to her. Why is some random kidnapped person being bathed in luxury? Why is this crazy stupid Don who killed her husband now after her?

Madhu looked at the plate where the food was placed. It had all her favourites. Puris and Paranthas. She was hungry for a day but she could no longer control it. She quickly grabbed the food and ate like a starved animal. Others smiled seeing her eating.

Unknown to all of them, the Don watching her through the Camera smiled lovingly. "Finally you ate my darling! Soon you will come to me. I promise I will never leave you".

Madhu, unaware of his eyes on her continued eating and finished the whole plate. Ria handed the other plate full of food. Madhu looked at her curiously but her hunger got the better of her. She ate the second plate of food fully and breathed in relief after having her share. All the others were pleased. Now their job is over. Their Don won't fire them.

Madhu looked at them angrily and said "Your job is over right? Just get lost. Ask your Don to go to hell. He may own my body but not my heart. It's already dead along with my husband".

"Mam! Please calm down. With our Don's love you will live and love again...".

"Shut up! Don't tell his name. Bloody Creep! I will kill him. I don't care about being in Prison. After everyone left me, my life is already dead...wait why am I saying this to you all? Get out!"

Others looked at her confused. One minute she is helpless, and the next minute she becomes an angry Angel. They felt pity for their Don who is madly in love with her. Fearing for their lives they fled out of her room.

Madhu looked at their retreating form . She took her purse under the mattress which had a picture of her dead husband. She didn't remove her Mangalsutra too...for, she believed his presence is always there for her. He always guides her even when he is not physically present. He is her heart, her very meaning of her life. She softly caressed his photo and his adorable dimples. His eyes winking at her as usual. She kissed his photo and muttered "I am ready to live in Patallok (hell) if that's what brings you alive. Please come back Patidev. I won't lose hope. My heart is still beating which is proof enough that you are alive. Tell me that the bomb blast is the drama. Just tell me that your injured hand found there is a mere coincidence".

Her own words echoed in the eerily silent room. "So you are dead? Should I believe it? You won't talk to me? You won't come for me? Rishab tell me! Rishab please! Come back...I won't scold you or beat you. I will stay under bed arrest as you ordered me to. I will fulfil all your wishes please come back Sweetheart! You are alive right? Rishab...!!!"

"RISHAB...RK! COME BACK! I LOVE YOU PATIDEV! RISH...RISH...!" Madhu let out a piercing cry...crying desperately, screaming incoherently, her heart inundated, her soul shattered.

"Rishabbb!"

It was a wail that would haunt the World for millennia. The whole Palace shook with her violent cry...a proof of her dead soul. Her lament echoed in the darkest corner of the Palace.

The Don who was watching her on the other side looked at her shattered. His own tears made way out of his eyes and flooded his vision. He slapped himself for causing her misery. He looked at the screen once again but was shocked to see Madhu looking at him, rather, at the camera straight.

Madhu looked at the Camera angrily. Her eyes had the vengeance and the need for revenge. She looked at the small Camera straight and shouted "Mind you Sultan! You f**king bas***d! I will make you pay for my loss. For my RK. For my love, for my husband!" Madhu screamed violently. The Don watched her worried, would she ever accept him? His eyes looked at her shocked as he observed her fainting.

Madhu was suddenly overcome by giddiness. The whole room spun around her. She was unable to see clearly. She rubbed her eyes but it seemed that it went out of her control. Slowly darkness engulfed her. Losing her to her consciousness she fainted clutching her RK's photo tightly in her palm.
