The start of RK and Madhu's relationship was all about honesty. Madhu was truthful about her past and RK about his but they were also honest about their fears and expectations from the marriage.
The bonding scene with Madhu and Ruhi flowed so easily. It was sad to think that Ruhi has never had a motherly figure in her life ever. That is such a huge gap to fill!
But RK could see that Madhu could fill that gap easily. I can see that happening. Madhu finally gets a chance to be a mom even if it is for a few moments but those moments - honest and open - sealed the deal.
And it makes perfect sense that Madhu would bond with Ruhi first. The longing Madhu has had gets filled by Ruhi. Two pieces that fit together perfectly.
Now to get them all to fit perfectly!
And you wrote that well. It was not an instant thing that Madhu falls for RK but I can see why RK fell first.
Though RK also got burned in love, RK can tell the difference between Madhu and Dipali. He sees what Madhu has brought into their lives.
Madhu made the house into a home. She became a mother first but also took care of RK and the home.
Having the family picture the day after the wedding was a good chance to get them all closer. And it made Madhu feel like she fit in - though there was still distance between her and RK.
The story flowed really well. By Madhu missing RK and surprising him on the trip - it showed that she was starting to have feelings,.
You know I did not miss Bittuji at all in this story as Ruhi steps into his place by cutting the romance time. But it was hilarious to watch RK try to get Ruhi to go to bed so he can be alone with Madhu, I loved it!
And then Madhu gets pregnant. But what I loved was how Ruhi was always Madhu's 'first' child. Their bonding is so strong - I loved that part!!!!
Ruhi is the first to know about the baby. Ruhi goes with Madhu to her parent's home. Ruhi is never left behind.
And enter Dips. I knew the 'happily ever after' had to hit a snag. Selfish woman. The only negative I would say about your story is that Ruhi had to endure Dips in her life for 10 years.
I understand the reasoning but 10 years of that selfish person! And that too on an innocent child. That goodness Madhu and RK gave Ruhi so much love that she grew up to be strong and smart.
OH and I have to say, I love RK as a dad here. His whole world was only Ruhi. That was an amazing character.
