RK and Madhu looked at them and he placed her down hurriedly. Everyone was silent and to break the awkwardness RK said
"Umm...I wanted a cup of coffee so i came here...she was coming down but slipped and fell...so I...I" RK couldn't say more
"So he saved me" Finally Madhu completed
Trishna and Rohan Nodded
"Well you both came as a saviour in our lives" Trishna said showing Rohan a sofa to sit down
"What do you mean didu?"
"Well...My car just broke down and one man was trying to misbehave with me...when Rohan came and saved me"
"Did he?" RK asked her completely surprised by seeing his guts.
"Yes and he even asked his driver to get my car repaired" Trishna said smiling towards Rohan...while Rohan was busy pressing his hand to get some relief from pain...Trishna looked at his hand and said "Oh Oh i am so sorry I completely forgot...let me bring the first aid box for you" and she ran in the jet speed to bring the aid for him.
"I can't thank you enough for what you did for my didu" madhu said to Rohan
"Please don't embarrass me Miss.?" Rohan said
"Madhu...Madhubala"
"She can say thanks to him but what about me...she is standing on her feet because i caught her on time else she would've been lying on the floor screaming in pain...Thankless woman!" He said all this in his mind
"Thanks" This time madhu said this to RK
RK was shocked to listen this from her "It's okay" he replied
"Can she read my mind?" He again said this to himself
"Come here show me your hand" Trishna came running towards Rohan with the box.
"No..It's fine...I'll be alright" Rohan said
"No show me" Trishna said in an authoritative voice
She started putting ointment on his hand while he was looking towards her and smiling like and idiot.
"Madhu make 4 cups of coffee...we all will have it" Trishna said to Madhu
Madhu glared at Trishna as if she has committed a sin...but she controlled her anger and went ino the kitchen.

"We all will have it...huh...what nonsense" Madhu imitated Trishna
"Need an assistant" A voice came from behind
Madhu turned around and saw RK standing leaning against the wall with a smirk on his face which made her more angry. She banged the cup on the countertop. He reflexively blinked his eyes with that sound.
"No thanks" She said clenching her jaw "And anyways it's just a coffee" She turned around
RK came inside and stood beside her and gave her a stern look. He gestured her to move aside.
"Haan?" Madhu couldn't understand.
"HATO" RK said on her face
Madhu took a step back. He looked here and there and found the electric kettle.
"Water" He order Madhu.
She brought water and he poured inside
"Coffee" he again ordered
Madhu gave him that too
And one by one what all he ordered she gave him.
"Haah...perfect" He sniffed "Now I am going...you bring this along with some muffins...bye"
Madhu was totally bewildered...she just couldn't understand what did he do...then she realised it was her who assisted him in making coffee. She turned around and said
"You.." But before she could say further he completed her sentence
"Needed an assistant" he winked and went out
"he is such a...freak!"

After having coffee they were leaving
"Thanks Trishna for the coffee and this" Rohan said pointing towards his hand which was covered with crepe bandage
"Please Rohan infact I should be grateful to you for helping and I am!" Trishna replied
They looked at each other and again the saxophones started playing...but the difference was that this time it was also playing around Trishna's head.
"We will spend the whole day here...If they will keep staring like this" RK thought
"We will be standing like this the whole day if this will not get over" Madhu said to herself which was clearly audible to RK
RK looked at her in shock...he actually doubted her if she can read his mind and to clear his doubt he played a trick.
"Hey Sexy" He said in his mind but Madhu didn't react at all in fact she was waiting for Trishna and Rohan to get over with each other and RK's doubt got clear which gave him a great relief.
"By the way...isn't it funny...in the morning you were accusing me that i came to ask you out for a coffee...and now you drank the coffee which was made by me" RK asked Madhu
"What's so funny about it...If i could have, I never would have drank that coffee" Madhu gave a tough reply and as soon as she finished he said
"Who forced you then?" RK asked her
Madhu looked at him in surprise. What he said was actually right...no one forced her to drink. Her lips trembeled but she had nothing to say. He gave her a smile and said "Bye Chashmish" and he left with Rohan.

At night
Madhu was lying on the bed looking at the fan. She was thinking what all happened in the morning when Trishna came in her room and brought her out of her trance.
"Madhu...Are you awake?"
"Ya Didu come in" Madhu got up
Trishna came inside and sat beside Madhu
"What happen Didu" Madhu asked
"Nothing just felt like talking to you" There was a strange happiness in her eyes.
"Hmm there is something going in your mind right?" Madhu asked her
"No it's nothing...and why are you asking this...can't I talk to my sister otherwise?"
"No no you can...okay now tell me is it about Rohan? Madhu teased her and stressed the name.
"How do you know?" Trishna asked in surprise
"Come on didu I am your sister...there is nothing you can hide from me"
"Did you like him" Trishna asked
"Ya he is a nice guy...decent, sweet"
"Hai na?...He is so sweet...and I don't know I mean the way he came and stood for me today...no one has done that for me till now...I felt so special. She was getting more and more excited.
"But didu that's something anyone could have done...what so special about it"
"No Madhu...anyone could have stopped that man but not like the way he did...he gave me the feeling like he is my protector...I felt safe with him...he fought with that man only for me Madhu...why would anyone do that?"
Trishna turned towards Madhu who was smiling looking at her.
"You like him?" Madhu asked her
Trishna Blushed. Madhu laughed seeing her didu blushing and hugged her tightly.
"I am happy for you" Madhu said caressing her hair.
"Me too"
They laughed and pulled back.
"Madhu shall I say something?" Trishna asked her voice turning a bit serious.
"Ya didu...say what is it?"
"Madhu today when I saw RK holding you in his arms...for one moment I thought that Abhay came back...but"
"But he is not Abhay" Madhu said immediately
"Anyway it's quite late you should sleep okay?" Trishna said
Madhu nodded
"Good night"
"Good night didu"
Madhu walked towards the window and saw Abhay's window was open but no one was standing there. She recalled those days when they used to talked through the window and blow kisses to each other. Tears rolled down her cheek as she remembered those happy days and she closed her eyes.

When she opened her eyes she saw RK standing across the window who was looking at her in bewilderment. He couldn't understand why there was so much pain in her eyes and somewhere her pain pinched him. He didn't know why but he wanted to wipe that tear which was slipping down through her cheek but couldn't do that.
Raat lambi sahi..
Phir bhi yeh ek raat hai..
Subah ho jaayegi..

Madhu couldn't understand what was happening with her...The man with the face as of abhay but completely different as a person. Has God stopped adding chapters to her life or is he writing a different book for her...
Madhu couldn't take it anymore and closed the window...and RK kept staring at the window Because he knew that she is still standing there and crying...
