He was last seen in the TV show, Madhubala, in 2014, playing Rishabh Kundra (RK), opposite actor Drashti Dhami. But, since then, popular actor Vivian Dsena has only participated in reality TV shows. When asked about why he hasn't been signing any daily soaps of late, Vivian says, "I don't want to be another RK or Abhay Raichand (his character in Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani). I can play those roles easily, make money, and get away with them. But isn't that cheating? I don't believe in cheating my audience by playing another similar character."
It is often speculated that most reality TV shows are rigged, and that the winner is already decided from the beginning. For instance, in an interview with an entertainment daily, Aman Varma claimed that the reality show, Big Boss, which he had participated in last year, was pre-planned. So, why does Vivian do reality shows, when they are supposedly pre-decided? "I don't know what other people think about this. But, I look at them from a different perspective. Even if the show is rigged, I don't mind doing it because I want to go ahead and test my capabilities. For me, a reality show is a practise ground, where I can get rid of my fears." He adds that people often have a negative perception of him. "They think I'm arrogant and rude. But I don't care about that. I didn't land up in this industry, thinking that I have to make people love me," he says.
