Felicity

After a blistering hot day, the sun has finally set. The cool breeze which came from the open window took away the hot, moistureless air. The sheer window curtains were dancing with the wind, to the melodious tinkling sound of the wind chime hung above the window. It soothes my mind.

Finally it's time to take a break. A break for myself. I've been occupied since the day dawned. My mistress was sleeping calmly after enjoying the scrumptious chocolate cupcakes I ordered for specially for her in the evening. My little master was clung to her after playing with his toy cars.

The toy cars were scattered in the floor & my mistress once lost her balance & about to fall when she was chiding my little master for throwing away his toys everywhere in the room. I became her savior for the second time for this single day. First, she was about to trip from the staircase after seeing the huge plate of samosas her mother-in-law made for her lunch on her demand.

She became very enthusiastic after feeling the fresh smell of the samosas which had already troubled her sensory receptors. She couldn't wait a moment. She went out of the room noticing that her delicious lunch was coming her way. She was so impatient as she couldn't wait a moment till her mother-in-law comes up. She hurried her toes downstairs, ignoring me & her mother-in-law's warnings. She behaved like she was starving for so many years. She missed a step & was about to fall. If I wasn't there to save her I can't even imagine what would happen in the very next second.

I hope you have figured out by now about whom I was talking about. It was none other than my wife, Madhu. She wasn't an ordinary wife. She had extraordinary qualities. She was extraordinarily loving & caring. I can't understand how she could love me so much. In fact, she is the best life partner that any man could possibly ask for. I feel like I'm the luckiest husband in the whole wide world to be blessed with a wonderful wife & also with a 'mini me'.

Arjun, our bundle of joy, our one & only son is a complete replica of me. That's why I call my miniature xerox copy as 'mini me.' Our son has his mother's hazel brown eyes & my dimples. He is a gift of god according to my wife. Yes truly he is, because he was born in the Christmas eve 3 years back.

My world revolves around my wife & son who always keep me busy on toes. But I'm genuinely happy about being their 'demand supplier'. Nothing can beat that feeling of being a proud husband & a father. Not to forget another special person coming on the way. It is none other than my unborn baby girl.

Yes a girl! I am sure it would be a baby girl this time. My wife Madhu was on her 9th month of pregnancy & just a week is left for the delivery. The doctor had already informed us 3 months back that we could check baby's gender but both of us wanted it to be a surprise. Even in the previous pregnancy we just wanted a surprise & we were ready to welcome anyone. The gender won't matter, after all it is our child.

I settled down myself in the couch nearby. I wanted to take a little nap before Madhu gets up for dinner, because after that I should be ready to sacrifice my sleep for my beloved wife. Her midnight cravings made me go out almost every night. Yesterday I had to roam in the streets at 2 am to fulfill her desire of eating Gulab Jamun. I am used to her mood swings & I do my best to comfort her. Carrying a child for 9 months & giving birth to him or her with an immense pain ain't easy nor it could be compared to anything. I understood it after being a father for the first time.

I don't think I would have slept for at least 10 minutes. I was awaken with a scream of my wife. It gave me a mini heart attack for a while as I was on alert since it was the last month of her pregnancy & she could get labor pains at anytime.

'Madhu..?' 'Are you okay?' I sat beside her & held her hand. 'Ouch' She seemed to be in pain. 'Madhu? Are you alright?' She didn't bother to reply me. 'God damn answer me Madhu! Are you alright? What's wrong? Shall we go to the hospital?' I bombarded her with so many questions that I was hell worried about her. Arjun was also up with his mom's sudden scream & he seemed to be worried more than me. 'Momma!' 'What's wrong?' 'Please speak na!'

'Rishu..' 'It's just.' She gulped her words. 'What's it?' 'Did your water broke?' Man! she is scaring me to death! 'No stupid! He just kicked me again! & this time it hurt me so much.' Finally she could gather some words. Her words made me relieved. 'Thank god you are fine!' 'I thought it was an emergency' I smiled.

'Certainly not!' 'I'm not fine Rishu.' She muttered. I caressed her belly. 'Can't wait to see you my little angel.' I whispered. 'You are mistaken Rishu! It's a little devil who is impatient to come outside.' She made a face.

' How do you know exactly Madhu?' I questioned. 'Because he has been kicking me like a professional foot ball player for the past few months.' Her answer cracked me up. 'Not so

Rishu!' She punched my chest. ' Ouch ' I pretended to be hurt. 'What happened Rishu?' 'Biwi! I'm sure about one thing. Those violent qualities are inherited to our baby from you.' I laughed out. 'Shut up RK!'

She calls me RK when she is extremely pissed off. It was an alert of her agressiveness. 'Okay okay!' 'Just relax' I wanted her to cool down. 'Daddy, is our angel hurting momma?' Arjun inquired me in a worried tone. Poor soul was worried about his mother. Arjun was a momma's boy & that reason made me to convince my wife to try out for another child. I believe in equality so yeah! Why not? I need somebody by my side too.

'Aww no champ!' ' Your sister is eager to come out!' I answered my son while taking him to my lap. 'Oh really?' 'Then ask her to come soon!' 'Can't wait to meet her' We smiled at our 3 year old cutepie's antics. He was so eager to be a big brother. I'm sure he would be a protective brother for his little sister.

'Rishu.. I want..' 'What do you want for dinner?' I asked her before she blurts out her latest craving. 'Rishu! what's wrong with you?' 'Let me complete my sentence.' 'I want to go out.' She made a

'Go out?' 'Where?' 'Rishu.. I feel packed inside this house.' 'Packed? What? this is not a little tent Madhu! This is the RK mansion! Which is a 5 story house with 20 rooms, 2 pools & a large garden!

'Rishu you sound like a property advertisement on a newspaper!' She giggled. 'Biwi what do you demand this time huh?' I replied with a doubt. 'Rishu listen. I just wanna go out.' 'Just to relax for a while.'

'Go where biwi?' 'You know you are advised to rest at home.' 'Come on Rishu! I hate staying inside. I just wanna go out to get some fresh air.' 'Fresh air?' 'Then let's go to the garden, but not a step beyond the gate.' I warned her. But I knew that she would not listen to me.

'You are so mean!' She made a face like a little child. 'Okay okay!' 'I will take you out. But what if something happens?' 'What? I mean an emergency! Chill Rishu! another whole week is left to welcome our baby!' 'It won't come out that soon!' Her words reminded me about our son Arjun who came to this world after 3 days of his due date. Our little champ managed to keep us restless for more than 48 hours.

'Rishu, will you take me to the lakeside please?' 'Lakeside?' 'Now?' I looked at the clock it was almost 8 o'clock in the night. My stubborn wife didn't even care to have her dinner. She just wanted to go to the lakeside to relax & get some fresh air. What a request! I couldn't deny it. We drove off to the lakeside. Arjun too wanted to join us but my mother Radha managed to convince her mischievous grandson to stay at home & have his dinner.

We reached our destination after a half an hour drive. There are so many unforgettable memories which were bound with this lake. We met in this location for the first time when Madhu joined our crew as a junior make up artist & whoever thought that she will become superstar RK's wife one day? Madhu was so keen to get an outdoor wedding done so we tied our knot in the same place. This is the same place where Madhu felt our Arjun's kick for the first time when she was carrying him. I remember how excited were we 4 years back.

The cool breeze made soothed our souls. She clung to me with cold & I put my coat over her to protect her. We walked slowly towards the lake. The water was like a mirror. The wind was calm. The serenity of the lake, with the quiet stillness all around.The moon in its full splendor lights up the night and cascades its light with a romantic glow. Its shimmering reflection casts a silver sparkle on the still waters.

We spend about 2 quality hours there. I lit a fire near by to warm ourselves. Madhu enjoyed eating pani puri which we bought on our way. I was worried about its' quality & hygiene but Madhu forced me to buy them for her. She wanted to eat from outside.

We were having a chit chat sitting on our adjustable bamboo chairs. Suddenly Madhu screamed loudly. 'Aaahh...' I stood up with a shock. 'Madhu?' 'What happened?' 'Aaahhh... Rish.. Aaah' She kept screaming. I figured out that she was crying in pain. 'You naughty angel! You kicked your momma again na? Why are you hurting her so much?' I caressed her belly.

Madhu was fidgeting her hand. 'Aaah.. Rishu.. Rish..' She was sweating. 'Madhu?' Her condition made me scared to death. 'Are you alright?' 'Rishu.. I ..'aaah..I think.. the ba..by.. the baby is gonna come out!' She screamed more loudly.

'Whaaat?' 'Are you serious Madhu?' 'What the...?' I didn't know what to do! I couldn't do anything other than chiding her for her stubbornness. 'Didn't I warn you about this Madhu? Didn't I?' 'Now what?' 'The hospital is more than a hour drive from here! will you be able to bear it up huh?' She didn't bother to reply me. She was crying in pain.

I couldn't see her like that. I immediately dialed our doctor. The answer I heard from the other end made me more restless. She informed me that she has gone out of station for a conference & unable to come any soon.

'Now what doctor?' 'Is there any doctor on emergency now?' 'My wife is on labor pains.' 'God damn please do something! I can't see my Madhu like that!' I have already lost my temper. 'Calm down Mr. Kundra. Where is she now?'

The doctor was shocked with my answer. Yeah who would believe that a pregnant mother will get labor pains near a lakeside! Specially when she is advised to stay indoors in the last few weeks. I'm sure that the doctor have clearly figured out her patient's stubbornness.

I somehow managed Madhu to get inside the car. She was screaming with pains. The screams got louder & louder with every contraction she felt. She was holding my hand tightly & screaming breathlessly.

'Doctor.. doctor!' 'Please do something! I.. I think she is not in the condition to go to the hospital as her water has already broken!' I reported my wife's condition to the doctor. 'Doctor.. I.. urgh! what can I do now?' 'Calm down Mr. Kundra!' 'I have already arranged an ambulance with another doctor to reach the place!'

'Aaahh.. Rish.. Rishuuu!' Madhu's painful cries made me lose my patience. 'Madhu! relax the doctor is on the way!' 'Aaahhh it.. it is gonna come out now!'

'Doctor! what can I do now?' 'For god's sake where the hell is the ambulance?' 'My wife is in pain!' I literally cried! I have never felt so helpless in my lifetime. Both of my wife & my baby are in danger.

'Mr. Kundra the ambulance is on the way!' 'Please calm down!' 'Calm down my foot!' 'Doctor if something happens to my wife & daughter I would...' 'Mr. Kundra please listen!' 'There's an option if you can go for it!' 'What doctor?' 'Tell me soon I really can't see my wife like that!'

'Mr. Kundra, can you deliver the baby?' 'What?' Me?' I never expected such an answer from the doctor. 'Yes you!' 'What the...?' 'Are you freaking kidding me doctor?' 'How can I do?' 'I'm not a doctor!'

'That is the best option we can go in this situation.' 'It's too late to take Madhu to the hospital or to wait till the ambulance arrives.' 'But.. but doctor how can I do it?' 'I have no experience about it!' 'Hell I can't do!'

'Mr. Kundra listen!' 'You don't have to be a doctor to deliver a child. Any person with a common sense can do that!' 'This is a matter of your wife & baby's lives.'

Finally I had to agree do the doctor. I could do anything for my Madhu & our baby. I gained courage & made Madhu lie comfortably on the back seat by adjusting as a bed. Her face looked exhausted & tears of pain were running from her eyes.

'What the hell?' 'Rishu! are you mad?' 'How could you?' She was shocked to hear when I broke the news that I am gonna deliver the baby! 'Shh.. Madhu! relax! everything is gonna be fine!' 'Are you sure?' She looked more worried.

'Won't you trust your Rishu?' 'Relax Madhu!' 'Everything is gonna be fine!' I gave a quick peck on her forehead & connected with the doctor. Fortunately I could find a bag of pure white cloth & sterilized cotton as I bought them yesterday from the mall & had forgotten them in the car.

It was not an easy task to do a delivery inside a car. It didn't have enough space. I could manage to make somehow. I followed doctor's instructions while Madhu was pushing hard.

I held her hand tightly. 'Come on Madhu!' 'You can do it!' 'It's almost here!' I could almost see our baby's head now. It was struggling to come out from Madhu's vagina. 'Aaargh' 'Rishuuu! 'I .. I aah god damn it's hurting too much!' Madhu screamed again. I felt bad about her. She was bearing all the unbeatable pains alone without anesthesia. How painful would it be? I was restless & had a deep fear in a corner of my heart.

The white cloth which I had put on to her has already turned red, soaked with her blood. In another few minutes, it became a little bit more out I could already see our baby's face. According to the doctor's guidelines I held my baby's head slowly. I could feel the warmth of my baby. I couldn't express how I felt in that moment I touched my baby for the first time.

With Madhu's final push, our bundle of joy entered the world with a loud cry. I just couldn't believe I did it. My angel is in my hands already. Finally our prayers & wishes had been answered. 'Welcome little princess.' I whispered to my new born baby girl. She was drenched with blood & she was so tiny & fragile.

At the same time the ambulance arrived & it made me more relieved. The doctor came along with two nurses with all the needed equipments & medicine. I cut the umbilical cord myself which had connected my little baby girl to her mother.

'Congratulations Mr. Kundra'! '& Well done!' I felt so proud when the doctor wished me. I have done it! finally could bring my baby girl to life. 'I love you Madhu.' 'Thank you so much.' I placed a soft kiss on my wife's sweaty forehead. She was lying lifelessly. I felt so bad about her. She had to bear all those pains which can be never described, to bring my child to this world. Finally the god has granted our wishes & my family is completed with my son & my new born daughter.

Madhu & the baby were rushed in to the hospital to receive necessary treatments post delivery. Maa, Arjun & my secretary Bitto ji were there waiting for us. Arjun came running towards me like a wind with excitement. 'Daddy! Has our angel arrived?' He jumped in to my arms.

'Yeah champ!' 'Your little sister has arrived!' I hugged my son with extreme happiness. 'Yay!' He was screaming with excitement. 'Daddy! where is she?' 'I wanna see her!' 'Yes! you can see her soon. After the doctor aunty checks your momma & your baby sister.'

My mom & Bitto ji were tensed out about the situation & they were surprised to know that I had done the delivery. Finally the doctor informed me that both Madhu & baby are doing fine & we could meet them. I rushed inside the room with Arjun.

Our cute bundle of joy was in Madhu's arms. Madhu placed a kiss on our little angel. Seems like all of her pains had faded away after seeing our daughter's little angelic face. I re-called the memories when she had given birth to our little champ Arjun. This time it was more special because my partner in crime has arrived finally to this world & I can't wait to team up with her.

'Momma!' Our son was excited to see his new born sibling. The baby was clung to her mom, seeking warmth. Madhu was smiling at me. We couldn't speak for a while. Both of us were lacking words to express happiness. Happy tears were running from both of our eyes. She wiped my tears slowly & I did the same.

'I love you Madhu.' Finally I spoke breaking the silence. ' Happy birthday RK'! Hope you like your gift!' She chuckled. 'Huh?' 'Birthday?' I had almost forgotten about it as I was so much tensed about the delivery. Yeah it is my birthday! I remember Madhu got labor pains around 11:30 pm & the baby must have born after 12! What a co-incidence? My birthday gift is almost here! With me! 'Happy birthday daddy!' My son wished me with a kiss.

What more I could ask for? God has granted everything what I wanted in my life. A wonderful life partner & two cute kids. My 2 hours old daughter looked like a tiny cotton ball. She is truly an angel god has sent us to brighten up our lives.

'Daddy!' 'I can't see her properly!' Arjun who was impatient to see his baby sister, yelled. He wasn't tall enough to see his new born sister's face who was sleeping peacefully in their mom's arms. 'Aww sorry! Here,look at our angel! I took our son in my arms & came more closer to Madhu & our new born daughter.

'Aww! look at her! she is so tiny!' The big brother Arjun was overjoyed after seeing her sister. He caressed her tiny face gently. 'Daddy! she is so soft & pink!' 'You are right! she is an angel.'Arjun showered his little sister with kisses. We smiled at each other watching at our children. Arjun will become the bestest big brother in the whole wide world & our little angel will become the sweetest little sister on earth.

'I can't wait till they grow up Madhu' I told her while putting an arm around her. 'Rishu, then get ready to handle all the tantrums & please! don't spoil our baby girl like you already have done to your champ! He is too mischievous.' 'No worries biwi! they are gonna be two obedient kids!' 'Hahaha very funny!' Madhu smiled sarcastically.

'Momma what's her name?' Our son popped out a question. ' Oh yeah! I forgot. From which name are we gonna call her?' I passed the question to my wife.'Umm.. let me think.' 'How about Sneha?' 'Let's call her Sneha.' My wife came up with the best name that suits our daughter. 'Wow nice name' Arjun smiled. He was so happy about his newborn sister's name. 'Arjun & Sneha' goes well. Madhu smiled.

Yeah biwi! afterall both of them are Kundras! 'They are gonna be the coolest siblings on earth!' I winked. 'Hello Sneha! it's me Arjun! your bhai!' 'Can't wait to show you my toy collection.' Arjun held her little fingers. 'Arjun be careful okay? don't wake up your sister.' Madhu warned. 'Momma she is already awake!' Arjun giggled.

Sneha was staring at her elder brother with her eyes widened. She must have already figured out who he is. I'm sure she is proud of her protective brother. She seemed to be happy meeting family members.

I wrapped my arms around my little family. Madhu placed her head on my shoulder, Arjun on my lap & Sneha on Madhu's arms. Our family is completed. We were fortunate enough to be blessed with extreme happiness. My happiness knew no bounds. I felt like I'm the luckiest man in the whole wide world. Not every man can be a husband & not every husband can be a dad. I gave a soft kiss my little birthday gift & then for my little champ.

Madhu was staring at me with teary eyes. I knew they were happy ones. 'Thank you Madhu!' I placed a warm kiss on her forehead. 'Thank you Rishu. If you weren't there, I can't imagine what would happen to me & Sneha.' 'No worries biwi! It's just my little princess was eager to see her daddy!' I chuckled. I thanked god silently for giving us so much happiness in our lives & prayed that this would last forever!

This seriously cracked me up at some points 😆 Lets start from the beginning 😆

THe samosas thing cracked me up...Lmao...I mean I know that Madhu was pregnant...but still 🤣

Rishabh's 'Mini me' was adorable. I loved him..I can imagine him with those cute adorable dimples :D

And then...MAdhu's dialogue 'Rishu you sound like a property advertisement on a newspaper!' 🤣 Where do you get such ideas from? 🤣 Lmao. I really guessed it tht Madhu's water is going to break. Haha.

CONGRATULATION!! A doctor is born! Not the baby girl of course- Its our very own Rk 🤣 He seemed so cool 🤣 The picture that formed in front of my eyes was the 3 IDIOTS situation 🤣

This was seriously hell hilarious...n sugary at few points :D I loved it ❤️

😃😳..another baby production of yours. Thanks a lot for fulfilling my request..😳 I know u can't turn me down. Thank u so*100 much for being such a sweetheart Vinu..

now coming to the story. Needless to say I loved it. Few lines really cracked me up. Madhu's freakish samosa love and that "you sounds like a property advertisement in newspapers!"LMAO. This is the best dialog of the OS. I was laughing and laughing and laughing 😆 until the tension-filled moment came where Madhu was in labor pain and there was no doctor. Well our hero came to save his ladylove n angel baby. I was recollecting 3 idiots scene..lol. Champ named his sister that was amazing..<3.

Finally thanks for PM and letting me come second..though I intentionally lost to Shriyu..ok never mind. She's younger than me and more privileged.😉

Aww vinu, a very sweet os, after a long time from u, i really liked it.

Our RK became the hero and saved his heroine and princess, it was so sweet, and arjun excitement to see his lil sis.

Awww this is so sweet <3 almost imagined the whole story! CVs would have gone in this plot in the real story! Madhu was so stubborn Haha Loved RK! He is such a caring husband <3 & Arjun is too cute! & new born baby girl Sneha <3 One happy family! :D Thanks for this beautiful OS :D <3
