Madam,
First of all many congratulation to you for your promotion as the head of programming of colors TV.
This is regarding a season 2 for Madhubala Ek Ishq Ek Junoon. This particular show was a slot lead n was able to beat shows like Taarak Mehta ka ulta chashma. It was one among the top 5 shows in the trp list 2 years back. The story suddenly had a 22 yr leap n the USP of the show, RK n Madhu were killed off. The story started with the second generation. Their story is only now starting n again another shock to the fans. It was taken off air to be replaced by udaan in the 8.30pm slot. There r still so many unclosed tracks in the story which r left hanging. The chemistry of the lead pair was not even explored to the fullest in the second story. What can I say about the leads, Vivian Dsena n Drashti Dhami. Their popularity n fan following says it all. These two have won so many awards for their portrayal as RK n madhu in the serial. Though the channel did not recognize them n award them, they have been appreciated by other channels like Zee n also awarded in the ITA,Gold awards,AVTA,etc. Even now after nearly 3 months after the closure of the show , the leads are still either winning or leading in all the polls conducted by the media. No other Jodi of the channel is even named is such polls. RK-madhu, Vivian-Drashti, Madhubala EIEJ are still very famous. When the channel can give a season 2 for its shows like sanskaar n Na Bole... because of fans demand then why not for MEIEJ which has a huge fan following all over the world.
Now coming to the reason for the down fall of Mb:
The number of negative characters in the story. Except for the leads every single person was negative. The positive ones left the show one by one n what was left was only the evil.
The concept was 100 years of Indian cinema. Gradually the makers lost track of this and brought in village back ground which did not fit in with the story.
Except for the original set all others looked cheap. The costumes of the leads were pathetic. In the end they were shooting with only 5-6 artists.
Use of body doubles. 4 days in a week was shown with only BDs. Viewers were attracted to this show only because of the lead pair. Seeing them with BDs was a real put off.
In a country ridden with superstitious beliefs and social atrocities they had tracks like guruji's predictions, girl child unlucky for the father n husband, marital rape, unwanted rituals,etc. Such tracks were too regressive.
We fans only wanted n strong positive story. We never wanted the character of the leads to be butchered in every track. The only conclusion we can come to is that the channel gave such a huge project to the wrong production house. Nautanki Films bit off more than they could chew. The split in the partnership also did not help matters. They were not able to handle such a grand project. Lack of funds was easily visible to all.
We request colors to give MEIEJ season 2 to a trust worthy PH. There are millions of fans out there who are longing to see their favourite Jodi back on screen. We are trending in twitter for a season 2 right from the day this show went off air. Even the return of MEIEJ in rishtey tv has created a lot of hype among the fans. We are looking forward to watch this show again on tv. This show and the Jodi can still do wonders for this channel. Please, it's a sincere request from all the fans out there for a Madhubala season 2. Give us the reincarnation of Rk n madhu with a brand new love story.

I feel this new head of programming is more approachable than her predecessor. She knows the power of MB n its fans. To gain viewership for Rishtey she brought in the rerun of MB. when so many shows of colors r still pending for a rerun, MB came back within 3months of going off air. plz. guys, its a request to all the MBians n DVDians who want a season 2, write to colors n request them for MB season 2 with DVD. plz. don't use any harsh language. Colors is our only hope now.
