for the sake of argument , isn't she killing an unborn child? Isn't she taking a life? I remember how this forum blasted when rk asked Madhu to abort...or rules change when Madhu is in question
rest, the law gives mother the right to decide whether if she wants to give birth to a baby or no and fathers consent is not required...
and yeah, recently there was a case in chd where a mentally challenged girl was raped repeatedly by the caretaker of the asylum..he was punished , but the court didn't give doctors and social workers the permission to abort the rape child Bec the child was innocent..now, in this case where the mother was unfit to raise a child , there also, the court didn't give permission for abortion..

Even i have really hated the rape and pregnancy track. they have ruined the very essence of the show, which was an intense and beautiful love story.

but mam thats where the true social message comes out... we have everyday discussions on television that we should try and lessen the degree of torture post-rape... we should not link up rape and dignity...

not just for the serial but i really consider this "Izzat Loot Li" phrase hateful...

why cant our society consider rape as any other accident... people loose their limbs and other very relevant organs in accidents and live a dignified life.. then why a hypothetical thing called "VIRGINITY" be so important that woman is expected to have a life long trauma...

i know it would take decades for our society to change in those terms... and my points might feel out of topic...
but if they are showing it on TV and want to give some message then this it should be...
on one hand she is living with high head even when raped... I applaud her for that.. but on other hand she is also considering the child as a torture to her being... why the double face?

i am not saying accept Raja.. but the child has done nothing.. atleast thinking of it as a life would do no harm... and her condition is not like other victims..
other victims are also afraid of the taboo that the child and she would be for the society.. being a mother without marriage... and child would be illegitimate... here it not that case..
so we shouldnt compare this case with normal rape victims

I seriously disliked JMs character from day one. I totally agree with you that she is selfish and self-centered person who never try to understand other person's view.

About the baby its her choice. Even if she was not raped, she want the baby or not is her own choice. We are living in 21th century for god's sake why be so melodramatic about it.

Exactly my point! Even if she is going to have an abortion she can show some emotions but no she hates the child too. In real world a women will think 100 times before taking this step.

Completely agree wth u..
Shame on the woman who evn think of killing her own kid..Abortion is a sin & if husband forcing him on his wife is against law den foeticide is also illegal.
If JM's sin can be considered her helplessness evn whn she is doin it intentionally den y cant Raja's rape act be considered coz he wz nt in his senses & wz drugged and evrybdy knws he nvr had such intention.
Both r equally inhuman..if Rape is Rape whether he did it in his senses or nt? Den madhu is killer of her kid evn if it depends on her wish or majboori..

correct..she gave birth to a girl and now some ngo is raising the child..it came out in the newspapers..there was a lot of debate over whether she should undergo abortion..but the court refused..just as honor killing is not allowed..the child has the right to live..
