Because I would like to see JM becoming heroine, and the track not tanking so memorably that we wouldn't get another female lead glamour-career track in any series for a few years after that.
So the couple has to be united against external odds and/or an adversary, and strong and unconflicted in their relationship.
If she's shown as making her marriage successful, *and* her husband is shown as equally or more successful and never overshadowed by her even slightly, *and* her costar is her husband and the couple is succeeding together, then majority-audience will be supportive of her starting, succeeding and continuing in glamour-career.
I want her damn career to not only succeed but continue, and for that they need to avoid the predictably disastrous blunders of the previous attempt, and tailor the track to get mass-audience's support.
The current track has managed without promotion to take far less of a dip against far stronger competition.
So the conservative tried-and-tested tracks are a far surer chance of surviving against the current competition.
They just need to show Raju recovered - either via faking or a miracle-cure.
Either would be fine, so long as the couple remains united and against AK.
That way, both of them going together into films can be started faster.
If the couple is split, the only kind of career Madhu will get mass-support to shine in would be as teacher or some other social-service profession.
For glamour-career track to succeed, she has to be happily married and starring with her husband.
That way, the pitfall of mass-disapprobation for her not focussing on trying to mend her marital relationship from whatever estrangement is avoided.
If they are separated, he will be condoned for pretty much anything but she won't be. One can count on the unfair gender-bias sensibilities of mass-audience for that.
And the proper focus can be on the strong passionately loving couple dealing with filmworld problems and succeeding unitedly - so that the success can be actually enjoyed instead of coated in depressing negativity.
We'd get mass-audience tuning in for the next day for the couple-together trying and succeeding against odds, and they could carry the stardom-track through that way.
