What is the concept of Doormat and Dark Past?

I don't know about anyone But The One who really had DARK PAST and Who always got Sadness in FREE attached with Happiness was my RK 😭 . He was only 13 when he saw his Father hanging infront of his eyes , After then his Maa remarried with a Stranger who never ever considered RK as his Son or family . And then got ditched in Love (Deeps) .But Still he stood , Did Hard work and with Full honesty without choosing any Short way he became a SUPERSTAR 👍🏼 .

Many people said here that MB1 was doormat, but i dont think like that.she got a very good life with a lovable husband. Whatever indifference RK n Madhu had, RK loved only Madhu and Madhu was the sole person who can actually control RK. RK never allowed anyone to scold or hurt madhu other than himself even his pabho who he loved more than his mother.
I have never seen anyother serial male lead protecting female lead from all type of harassement from his house members. In all other serial, female lead has to suffer all the shits from her husband's family members.
She has to do all pujas and fasting for her husband and family , but in MB it was just opposite.

Yes RK's fixation was Madhu from the very beginning and towards the end of the show he didn't even want to work without her being with him. Most of the time he was at home by the wife's side. RK did tell Pabho to lay off his wife, allow her not to work in the house, he wanted to ease the pressure on her. Even KC he didn't want her to fast for his long life both times, he told her, her health was more important to him.

Even if we consider the Ria track Madhu just needed to put her foot down and he told Ria, Madhu doesn't like me drinking and staying out at night and he was back being at home with Madhu. Following his wife around, I think they were devoted to each other, they love made them stay in a bubble.

About a dark past both RK and Sultan had a bad upbringing, if you want to call it dark past.

Both AK and RK have had a pretty dark past I would say. RK for the obvious reasons. But AK here truly only has his younger sister and Bebe. His mother is just playing a game with him, and he is living in the guilt of thinking he killed his father, just the way RK was thinking for a long time. Both the characters have somewhat similar characteristics but AK is calmer and a little more grounded in reality than RK was. Both are unique. RK had to be the way he was because he had no outside affection. AK has his Bebe and younger sister so he has some sort of love and affection. Both needed relief from their guilt which was accomplished through Madhu for RK and will be accomplished through Miss. Kamli for AK. Although in the situation of AK and Miss. Kamli there can be role reversal, that Kamli will hate AK thinking he is the reason for her parents death. A silly teenagers wish cannot be a reason of anyones death. It will be exciting to know what actually happened post Kamil's parent's death.

Madhu from part one was not really a doormat. Even if she was I don't think its a big deal because every female lead in the history of television have been doormats at some what point of time. They begin as a doormat then gain confidence and try to maintain that. That is what I saw in the Madhu from part one.

Kamli in part two is yet to gain confidence, but with good reason. The girl has no idea who she is and what her background is. She has barely seen the outside world, and lived in Mathura all her life. Her grandma clearly kept her innocent and pure to keep her out of the real world which makes Kamli what she is today. She will discover her other side in Mumbai. It is her story along with AK's. Kamli just lost way more than AK had to. She is a doormat to Bittu's wife for now because she has no other choice, she needs to tolerate her for the sake of her Dida, and she needs to grow herself before she can handle Bittu's evil wife.

So overall I guess every male lead in television has a dark past, and every female lead begins or becomes a doormat at one point in the show. That is what sells in indian television today, and there is nothing wrong with it, its just entertainment I guess.

I am pretty excited to see how Kamil's and AK's story will unravel on this show now! 😊 I refer to the current Madhu as Miss. Kamli because I think its hilarious and super cute how AK calls her Miss. Kamli!😆

MB was very bold too 😆...and so was RK 😆

sher wore suits after marriage too whereas in other shows u see bahus with sarees and jewellery...but logon ko wo doormat lagti hai whatever that means lol

nope we dont call bad upbriging as a dark past...though forum has hilarious concepts on doormat and dark past both , but we r trying to find the real meaning

And yup two girls, one whose parents died when she was just born and other one whose mother fled from killer papa when she wasn't born but lead a peaceful life with loved ones and a guy who became a superstar before his father died have darker past than a 13 year old boy who saw his father hanging infront of his eyes and mother remarrying a cheapster who didn't leave any stone unturned to harm him 😛

As per the plethora of knowledge/gyan collected in this forum:

1. Doormat:

a) Doing any type of adjustment/sacrifice to make your relationship work be it professional or personal life. 🤡

b) Giving more importance to long term happiness over pride and ego🤪

c) Not indulging in fair weather relationships i,e not dropping your spouse/partner immediately if he runs into problems which can also lead him to being highly irritable in personal life.🤡

2. Dark Past

a) Any minor problem including nappy rashes in the lives of favourite actor/character qualifies for dark past.😭

b) Any major psychological trauma in the life of the character we dont like is an irritating tantrum.😡
