GEC Watch: Colors is back at No. 2; Star Plus, Life
OK and SAB grow Zee TV slips to No. 3 while Sony retains No. 5
position despite losing 50 TVM in Week 14 of

Week 14 of TAM 2014. As Zee TV slipped further, it
was overtaken by Colors as the No. 2 Hindi general
entertainment channel. Sony retained No. 5
position despite losing 50 TVM this week. According to data sourced from TAM subscribers
for Week 14 of TAM 2014 (March 30 - April 5) for CS
4+, HSM markets, Star Plus crossed the 700-million
mark again and widened the lead to 248 TVM from
second-placed Colors. Zee TV slipped to No. 3 while
Life OK strengthened its position at No. 4. SAB was at No. 6. By adding 15 million viewers to its gross
viewership, Star Plusfetched a GVTM of 702 TVM with a relative share of 27.26% (last week 687 TVM
with 26.34% relative share). Colors held its viewership at 454 GTVM and overtook Zee TV to become the No. 2 GEC. The
channel had a relative share of 17.63% (last week
454 TVM with 17.41% relative share). Decline in the viewership of Zee TV continued as the channel slipped to No. 3. It recorded a GTVM of
425 and a relative share of 16.50% (last week 461
TVM with 17.68% relative share). Life OK strengthened its position at No. 4 by adding 13 million viewers. The channel recorded a GVTM of
384 TVM and a relative share of 14.91% (last week
371 TVM and 14.23%). Sony lost 50 million TVT that it had added last week on the back of the television premiere of
Krrish 3'. The channel recorded a gross viewership
of 312 TVM and a relative share of 12.12% (last
week 362 TVM and 13.88% relative share). SAB TV recovered this week by adding 25 TVM to its gross viewership but the channel remained at
No. 6. Its gross viewership was recorded at 298
TVM. The channel's relative share grew to 11.57%
