"You are here?!!! WHAT THE HELL Madhubala Malik!!" RK yelled and stormed inside the room...
With Neil cuddled in my arms I counted from one to ten to get a grip on my anger... "Where else would I be?" saying I went back to the story I was reading to Neil
"I freaking waited for an hour!!"
"I took a cab...as I was told to do"
"I sent you a message to wait in the car park!!" Yes indeed...but after being a jerk in public the probability of me getting into his car were close to zero.
"I am talking to you!" I folded the book and handed Neil a rubix cube which would probably hold his interest for few minutes..until then I could show his uncle his place
"What did you say?" I stood in front of him folding my arms
"A message!! I sent you a message and don't you lie cause it was delivered"
"Ohh I got the message alright, I just choose to ignore it"
"Why didn't you wait for me or atleast reply so I wouldn't have waited there as a fool for an hour calling you to find your mobile to be conveniently out of range!!" by the time he completed the sentence he was practically yelling... the nerve of this guy!!
"YOU don't get to tell me what to do and what not to do!! Especially after you embarrassed me in front of so many people and not to forget that you were the one who had offered me the lift to your house in the first place!!"
"But Then I messaged you didn't I? whats the big deal!"
"SO what you thick skulled infuriating asshole!!!..I don't care for your message" I shouted
"WHY the f**k are you behaving like that?!!"
"Behaving like what you moron?? you came here yelling on..." I was interrupted
"My my..is this the language my child was exposed to all this week??" Came a voice from the doorway..
My head snapped in the direction of the voice so quickly that it gave me a whiplash
"Di??"
When the black haze disappeared I saw woman leaning on the door frame she was gorgeous and she looked so much like Rishab! Damn!! Kundra kids were bestowed with some excellent genes! even her frown matched his...ugghh wait she was frowning at us.
"Yes your di!! how many times have I told you to mind your tongue in front of Neil??" her frown deepened...I gulped from the looks of it I was to be the next to face her wrath..
Neil let out a squeal and ran towards her...and magically the frowned reversed into a smile I let out a sigh of relief.. you saved me there kid
She picked him up and hugged Neil her face a picture of genuine happiness... She walked towards the recliner and sat with Neil in his arms tossed her handbag away and sighed leaning back...
"Chotu go fetch me some water!!...I've had a long day..."
Chotu??? CHOTU?????
Bwahahhahahahaa!! I laughed trying and failing to disguise it into cough...
"Diii!!!!! Don't call me that..I've told you so many times!!!" chotu said embarrassed...lol
"water" she repeated ignoring his jibe...Shooting a deathly glare to my snickering self he stormed out of the room.
I stood there awkwardly ...how to start a conversation with someone who heard you swearing in front of her toddler?? well...yeah no idea either.
"So you are the nanny he appointed for Neil? you are so young.." she asked politely..
"urghh...ummm...yes"
"ohh..don't worry about my earlier behaviour...I sometimes like to use my elderly powers over my overbearing baby brother" she said smiling I giggled l think I her!
Infact I would make instant BFF's with anyone who can rule Rishab..I laughed
"So whats your name?"
"Madhubala..quite a mouthful I know, you can call me Madhu" I said sitting on the bean bag...
"You can call me Diya, Neil talks so much about you...pupkin this pupkin that..." she smiled..
"He talks about me??" awww...Neil who was otherwise playing with his mom hairs looked up at the mention of his name and smiled
"Yes offcourse he has taken quite a liking towards you..."
My phone went off ..."Its my mother...just a second" I smiled at Diya and she nodded
By the time I was done talking to mom, Rk had returned with a glass of juice and sandwich..."Aww thank you cho...Rishab" Diya said pulling his cheeks...this was getting more and more hilarious by every minute...wish I could videoshoot it. But then RK would probably cut me off into pieces and feed me to dogs..
He shrugged off her hands "Diii!!! I am not a child anymore..!" he said in a mixture of annoyance and affection...cute...
But I had to start for home, it was already late...time had practically flown while playing with Neil, fighting with RK and now meeting his sister "Ummm...I should get going" I bent forward and hugged Neil..
" can I get a kissy??" I tipped my cheeks forward and Neil was more than happy to oblige..."See you soon kiddo, I am going to miss you" I pecked him back and stood up
"Nice to meet you Diya"
"You too sweety, don't be a stranger!...Rishab its getting late, you should drop her home"
RK nodded and was about to get his keys..when I stopped him
"It won't be necessary...I am having a friend pick me up" I said to avoid taking any more favors from this pmsing man...RK narrowed his eyes and glared
"Great saves me from the trouble"
