Amid speculations over the new male lead of Madhubala"Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, sources have informed us that Gunjan Utreja, who was seen hosting Aamna Saamna on the same channel, has been finalised.
Actors Karanvir Bohra and Ravi Dubey were also considered for the role of superstar Abhay Kapoor. Apparently, Gunjan was preferred because he looked a bit older to other options. Like RK, played by Vivian Dsena, AK is also a movie superstar. Producer Saurabh Tewari confirms, "We wanted to cast a fresh face and that's how Gunjan was roped in."
Ask him if male lead actor will have a lesser role to play since the actor isn't that known and he replies, "Not at all. Since the love story will be the focus, there is no chance of the main lead actor getting a smaller role." Madhu (RK and Mahubala's daughter) will fall in love with AK, eventually.
