I sure do 😉First of all, we have to understand that from the beginning we were promised an epic dark love story.. were we not? At least that was the reason why I started watching the show in the first place. Not for DD, not for VD.. as I never even knew them at that time.. it was the theme and the story that attracted me. Now, epic love does not necessarily mean selfless divine love of Heer Ranjha.. and Laila Majnoo. and what not.. There are various kinds of love and love stories just like there are various kinds of people in the world.
This story is truly epic in a unique way and needless to say it is quite a dark one.
Of course...that dark love story was what got me interested 😆...so I am not ever gonna complain about this and that...except...well the unmentionables of Mr. Unmentionable. 🤢...I didnt sign up to see some divine love story...I wanted a human, errror-prone love story ...so I have no complaints when the cvs actually do show what they promised.RK is a freaking antihero... there is no need to target him with moral lectures nor is there a need to defend him in any way. He will commit mistakes and at times he will be as wrong as a person can ever be. He is a grey character, an antihero, he will often blur the lines between a hero and a villain, which is just why I love him and I hate him.
He is not your typical soap opera hero... the perfect man.. the man who girls dream about.. the person running for "Best Husband Award" .. he is flawed, very flawed yet one of a kind.
RK is as flawed and human as they come...though I may not condone some of his actions, I love RK in all his forms...because he shows me that love is not just some divine concept that takes ages to perfect, he shows me love can be as imperfect as us imperfect beings and still be perfect for the lovers 😳Just like you said, he is not just being insecure of Madhu overtaking him overnight in BW while she was least interested in the movie and where he worked hard to get to the position where he is now. There is a lot more to it.It's not just about his ego. It's little to do with sharing stardom with Madhu and more to do with the fact that he doesn't want to share his Madhu with BW or with the world for that matter.
Exactly...he doesnt want to share her or his fame😆 with anybody.Now one may say that why did he then want Madhu to be his heroine earlier? Why did he realize it just now? Well, it's simple, at that time he was sure that Madhu's first priority will always be RK. She doesn't want anything to do with the industry, there were no insecurities then, he was overwhelmed by the pride that what a find his Madhu truly is, but now he sees her getting attracted towards this world a little. He knew that his Madhu will never change and will never be attracted towards this world and even if she gets attracted to it, he will be right there by her side. Now, he is sensing that she enjoys the appreciation she is getting just like anyone would. His Madhu is not immune to the attraction that pulls her into BW after all. So, he is scared and using all his power to keep not only his ego intact but also the most important part of his life and existence, his Madhu safe with him. Also, at that time he was planning to make a movie which will not put Madhu alone in the spotlight for the world. He would have shared that space with her but now, he is sidelined and can only see her from afar just like everyone else.
And most importantly he realized it only now because it's always easier said than done.. 😆
Right you are...he can see how the glittering tendrils of fame are slowing entwining around her and pulling her away from him...thats unacceptable as far as he is concerned. The guy might do a lot of bakbak about how secure he is in love, but acting on that bakbak is not as easy 😆
He underestimated his obsession for Madhu .. 😆 just like he said.. he realized just now that even he doesn't understand himself properly.
Oh yeah! He totally underestimated the strength of attachment he has to her...So, that's why he is using Madhu's pregnancy (something that she actually wants) to his own benefit, so that saanp bhi mar jaye and laathi bhi na toote.. something like that.. I am bad with Urdu/Hindi idioms.. 😆 He is making sure that Madhu remains the way she always was and doesn't change because of her new found attraction towards the glamorous world.
