Charu, I referred to this in the last para in the same post you quoted from. They had been doing quite major track revamping in both the serials you referred to.

A show that has big budget and/or expensive actors can afford nothing less than great TRP. That is why tracks get changed to get better TRP, and if nothing works, then either budget and cast are messed around with to reduce the series expense, or the series is closed.

I don't know what the economics of running MBEIEJ are, but TRPs in the 2.0+ range almost certainly still delivers profits to the channel (I remember one of GH's snarky tweets once when people were ranting about low TRPs, he said something to the effect of the show is making money. And people booed.) In fact, the TRPs can probably drop even some more, and the show can still be profitable. It is just not making potloads of money for the channel, like in the old days.

Aren't SSK and Uttaran running frm so many years with average TRPs? they will not go without making a record in sadism ! damn the quality, damn the content !

Madhubala has been under a major revamp too post Sultan & it will take time to get back to it's original position..

it's not like "nothing is working" in MB...otherwise they won't be getting 2+ TRPs...and as far as high budgeting and low profit , high pay scales go, other shows have a huge star cast & MB has only it's leads who they bank upon..if they pay their leads an obscene amount of money, their budget may be lower than the other serials...

and lets not talk about the shut down, I beg of you ! when the CV's decide, it'll end, nothing can avoid it...why should we discuss depressing stuff when it has no base or logic? if there was a formula for success , saare successful hote...IT's the same team who took the show the heights and they can do it again..

exactly the question I'm asking..When they CAN reach to the top 5 level, why settle for no. 15...do WE know whether they are settled for no. 15 & they're happy with it? or they're trying to move up? lets talk facts...what's the point in speculating? just chill ! you or I alone are not contributing to the TRPs , it's the loyal fans and the mass audience and WE cannot generalize for them...so what's the point in discussing?
