Producer Rishabh Kundra walked back into RK Mansion with a skip in his step. His first home production was saved thanks to the woman who saved him. After Madhu's introduction to the press, who she had mesmerized in moments, Mr. Murti readily handed over the check to fund the film. Everything was back on track again. He couldn't wait to share the great news with his beloved Pabho. As he came to stop in the living room, RK immediately noticed the anger on his Pabho's face, tears on his mother's and a smirk on Deepali's. This was not the look he expected to see when he came home. Why didn't they look happy? And where was Madhu?
RK went to Pabho to get her blessing but she stopped him with her hand. RK assumed just like before she didn't want him bend for anyone.
"Pabho, where is Madhu?" RK asked glancing around the room.
"She no longer lives here," Pabho answered coldly.
RK physically recoiled from shock. Had he heard correctly that his wife, HIS BIWI, no longer lived here?
"We saw the news conference. I gave Madhu a choice to either quit the film or leave the house. She chose fame over family," said Pabho.
RK might be able to hear more but Rishabh had enough, he couldn't hear another word against his beloved Biwi.
"Enough!" he roared shocking and silencing the room.
"Pabho, you are my elder and I apologize for what I'm about to say but it needs to be said. This isn't your home, it's mine. You are my elder so out of respect no one says anything when you dictate our lives. We live by your rules when you are here but when you starting dictating who stays and who doesn't, I have a problem with that. I have a problem with you kicking out MY Biwi without a cause. I know you don't think she meets the standard to be a "Kundra bahu" because she left the puja unattended and because she joined the movie. But let me inform you, she left the puja for ME; I needed her on the sets and she came for ME. She didn't tell me anything, I figured out what was bothering her because she tossed and turned the whole night in worry that she would disappoint a person who was very important to ME. You easily blamed her for the 4 phere wali shaadi, for Malik shooting me, for Sultan, for it all but did you ever consider my part in all of it. I started it all, it was my reckless behavior that nearly took a man's life; Madhu only tried to get justice for him. I had her father beaten but to save his life I offered her a deal, marriage with me for the money. Even at the height of our animosity, she walked bare foot to beg for MY life; SHE bought me back from the dead. But that wasn't enough for me, I had to test her to make sure she loved ME and so I did; asked her to give up everything and everyone and leave with me. She agreed for ME. She agreed to fight my battles with me. Even then I wasn't satisfied, how could this woman, insult RK, the Superstar so I unwed her; broke her and her faith in love. After all of that she still married me because she loved ME.
As for Sultan, he was someone else's mistake made a long time ago, Madhu and I just ended up paying the price for it. The vile man threatened to kill me if she didn't go with him, had me attacked in jail so to save ME she distanced herself from me, made me think less of her. TO SAVE ME.
Pabho, you are a second mother to me but you never did anything to mend my relationship with Ma. What you couldn't do in all these years, Madhu did in her first 6 months. She lifted the veil of hatred from my eyes and let me see the real reasons behind Ma's decisions. I was finally happy, I had my mother back.
You dislike Madhu for joining the film? Did you know from the moment of her birth she has been surrounded by this industry? She was born on a film set, her family's earnings come from the industry, and she is married to a superstar in the industry; despite all of that she loathes this industry. She loathes the spotlight; it's not her dream to be a heroine. Do you know why she is doing it? FOR ME. She joined to save my film, my career, my reputation, my name and my self-respect. If she hadn't stepped in today it would have been all over and you want to throw her out of my life?
You think Madhu isn't good enough because she doesn't put up with my tantrums; she puts me in my place? She tells me to my face when I'm out of line or when I'm being disrespectful. She doesn't cater to my every whim. I love her honesty towards me, I love that she doesn't hide my fault from me. If all women were strong enough to do that their kids wouldn't pay the price later in life.
"Rishu but Guruji said..." Pabho interrupted.
"I don't care what Guruji said, MY wife is not leaving MY house or ME," screamed RK.
"Bittuji, go and get Madhu from wherever she is; if she refuses do whatever you have to do to get her back here. Hurry Bittuji," ordered RK.
He then went towards his mother, a woman he had misunderstood and blamed for so many years. He sat Radhaji down on a nearby sofa and sat on the floor next to her.
"You know what I've realized since I walked back into the house? After everything that has happened with Madhu, she should have left long ago but she stayed because she loves him. I imagine what else she would have put up with if our child was here? How of many of my faults she would have hid from him or her for their sake? Then I realized I have accused my own mother for doing the same for me. She remarried so I could have a father; she lied about her husband's infidelity so my image of my father wouldn't be tarnished. She sacrificed her life and her happiness for a son who is ungrateful and cruel to her." RK laid his head on his mother's lap as tears cascaded down her cheek.
I have two very strong women in my life and I refuse to let either of them go. I refuse to ignore the strength they live their lives and fight for their loved ones but never for themselves. I realized today my strength to fight comes from my mother and my strength to never give up comes from her as well. She has silently kept me upright all these years without once flinching at the pain it has caused her."
"I'm glad you understand your mother's strength and sacrifice Rishabh but that girl will be the end of you," Pabho defended her position.
"That girl is MY WIFE and she has a name, Madhubala Rishabh Kundra. Madhu can never be my end; I can be hers and I've come pretty close to ending her more than once. If Bappa himself told me Madhu would cause my demise, I wouldn't believe him. She would rather die than see me fall; she will go to any extent so that my integrity remains intact. You have no idea how strong she is, she has been my crutches when I could walk, my eyes when I couldn't see, my hands when I couldn't eat, my heart when mine was still stone. She has kept me from falling, gave me a hand when I needed it and Bappa only knows how many times she has carried me when I didn't even know I had fallen. She has never let me crumble and I WILL not do that to her now. I will not let her fall, let her crumble. It's my turn to carry her. It's my turn to carry them both."
"And Pabho if you can't live with this decision, I suggest you go back to the ashram and pray for my well being while my mother and my wife actually do something to make sure that I'm well," finished RK
"Radha, what kind of sanskaar have you given Rishabh that he talks to elders in this manner?" fumed Pabho.
"My mother has given me great sanskaar which is why I'm not throwing you out of the house for what you did to Madhu. On second thought Pabho, I will make travel arrangements for you to go back, I would hate for mine and my Biwi's corrupt life style to influence you. Tomorrow morning should give you sufficient time to pack. Pabho, you are welcomed back anytime as long as you accept EVERYONE in this family and that most definitely includes my better half, the ONLY Kundra bahu." With that RK walked out of the house to search for the one person who could give him hope even on one of the worst days of his life. She truly was his personal ray of sunshine, now this hot-tempered, ill-mannered sun will carry his sunshine as long as she needed him to which RK hoped was for eternity and beyond.
