Hi everyone! I'll try to write the update for this after today's exam! Sorry for the wait and thank you for being patient with me. :)

One reason I truly love you guys is that even though I take forever to update, you all understand. Thank you for being patient with me! I'm sorry it took me forever to update. I was in the middle of exams, then I got banned, and then I had another exam. Finally, I got the chance to update this and I know for a fact that most of you will probably not like the end of this update! BUT THERE'S A REASON FOR EVERYTHING IN MY FFS! You all should know that by know if you're readers of my past FFs. Well, enjoy! :)

- Numbing the pain for a while will make it worse when you finally feel it. -

Chapter Nine - The Pain

I ran behind him, not knowing where he was headed. He didn't even glance behind towards me as he sat into the car. I heard the car start and quickly sat in myself. Had I not been quick, I could've sworn that RK would've told the driver to drive off without me. He sat in the passenger seat while I sat diagonal from him in the back seat. It wasn't until a few moments later that he actually glanced back at me for a split second.

"Thought we left you behind."

"Were you hoping for that?"

"As a matter of fact, I wasn't. I need you to repel all the ladies at the party for me."

I rolled my eyes just as the car halted to a stop. I looked outside to see a pretty banquet hall. It was huge and had the shape of a castle. It was a bigger hall than any other hall I had seen in my lifetime. I heard RK's door open and instantly opened my door as well, hoping he wouldn't walk off without me again. He did. He began walking towards the building as I struggled to keep up with my heels. Then just with my luck, one heel broke. My ankle twisted and I instantly grunted and bent over in pain.

"Ouch!"

I sat down in the middle of the parking lot and cringed in pain while holding onto my ankle with my eyes closed. It wasn't until I felt warm hands on top of mine that my eyes opened. I looked up at RK who had his eyes directly on mine. As we made eye contact, he looked down at my ankle and then back up at me. I felt as though there were times where his eyes would change from feeling to being emotionless.

"You stupid girl. You're supposed to be in perfect condition for this party. We're supposed to dance dammit!"

"D...dance?"

He did not mention anything about a dance. RK was definitely the king of last minute notices.

"Yes, dance. Do you need me to spell that out for you?"

"You don't need to be so rud...ow!"

I guess he didn't even notice that he pressed down on my ankle. He quickly let go and stood up. I looked up at him as he looked down at me.

"What are you waiting for? Get up! You're going to this party even if it's the last thing you do."

Seeing how inconsiderate he was, I helped myself up. While nearly falling to the side as I limped, RK placed his arm around my waist. He tightened his grip to make it seem as though he was doing it to bother me, but I knew he was giving me his support...or so I hoped. He walked with me by his side, into the building. As soon as he stepped into the building, a swarm of people came to surround us. I instantly placed my hands in front of my face to avoid the flashing of the cameras. Then suddenly out of nowhere, I found myself facing the backs of huge men wearing black. Where the men had come from, I had no idea, but I was definitely grateful as they led us through the crowd with ease. As we made it into the hall room booked for the party, I noticed many pretty girls. I couldn't quite understand why RK wouldn't want to be around girls. He seemed like the kind of guy that would like the attention. Something was definitely up but I couldn't place my finger on it. As the doors closed behind us, the loud commotion from outside died down. All I heard was the sound of loud music and conversing around me instead. I continued to limp as RK kept his arm around my waist and directed me towards the bar. He took a seat at the first highchair and gestured for me to take a seat next to him.

"I don't drink!"

I yelled over the music and watched him smirk with a shake of his head. In confusion, I sat down silently next to him. RK turned to the bartender.

"Two drinks."

"Yes Sir."

Two drinks?

As the bartender placed the drinks in front of RK, RK slid one in my direction and picked up the other in his hand. I glanced towards him in disbelief.

"I'm not drinking this!"

"You say that like you have a choice."

"I do!"

"Shut up and drink it, it'll help with the pain and also help you forget what's about to happen tonight."

"What's about to happen? What do y..."

"What did I say about asking me questions?"

"If you didn't already notice, I don't care about your stupid rules anymore. I'm not drinking this. You have it!"

I slid the drink back in his direction. I crossed my arms and looked forwards. I noticed RK down his drink in one gulp from the side of my eye. He placed his empty glass down and slid the other glass back towards me. I looked towards him. He had cold, emotionless eyes again; the eyes that frightened me.

"Drink it."

I slowly, but anxiously shook my head no.

"If you don't drink it, I'll have to make a scene and force it down your throat."

"Why! If you don't want me to see what's going to happen tonight, then I'll just leave. It's as simple as that. I'm not drinking your stupid drink!"

I crossed my arms and looked away again. That was until I heard RK get up. I looked towards him. He picked up the glass and spun my chair to face him. I clung to my chair as though it meant life or death. My heart raced as he leaned down over me. I kept my eyes on his as he lowered his face closer and closer to mine. His lips slid to the side of my face and went to rest just beside my ear as he whispered. I closed my eyes and held my breath to control my racing heart.

"The point is, that I don't want you to remember anything. But I do need you."

And with that, I felt a sudden power open my mouth and force the drink down. I opened my eyes and struggled to push the glass away from my mouth but RK obviously turned out to be stronger than me. As the glass emptied and RK pulled away, I coughed and spit out as much as I could.

"What the hell!"

I stood up, ignoring my ankle pain, and faced RK. He held another glass. Not knowing it was meant for me, I opened my mouth to yell at him but he forced another glass down me.

Due to my low alcohol tolerance, since I had never drunk before, it only took two drinks to have an effect on me. I couldn't remember how much time had passed when suddenly everything went black.
