An odd episode...one that did not give me closure but instead left me with an odd sense of foreboding.
Here are a couple of my observation followed by a seemingly unlikely thought that I can't rid myself of-
1) There is dialoguebaazi between RK and Sultan...Sultan seems shocked to see Madhu standing in courtyard. He shoots Joshi and takes off with Madhu (who for some odd reason once again wants to face him despite being aware of the danger)
2)A chase ensues that ends in some parking space. Sultan threatens to kill RK. Once again for some reason Madhu jumps in fray and Sultan ends up pushing her which results in her torn blouse. This enrages RK who shoots Sultan. There were couple things that interested me in this scene...Sultan had his finger on trigger and Madhu pulled the gun out of his hand but the gun did not go off by mistake, the second was the tin sound gun made when it hit the ground. It was the sound of a toy gun and not a real gun (CVs... there is devil in details) and third was Rk standing there like a fool while Madhu duked it out with Sultan but more importantly RK would not have shot Sultan if Madhu had not ended up with a torn blouse.
3)This obviously was the most interesting part of the show today...Sultan says certain things that seem out of place...mostly he screams of betrayal and how Madhu is bad news. You see flashes of intelligence in his monologue. All this while you see an odd expression on Madhu's face...almost as if she fears that some secret will be out. Obviously everyone dismisses his ramblings as frustration of an obsessed man. Sultan dies a disgraceful death promising that RK too will lose everything . I don't believe that he survived this and I think he was referring metaphorically when he said he will fight with RK again.
4)Madhu and RK are united once again. Obviously they both seem traumatized with the events of the day. Madhu asks RK if she was in wrong...Rk tells her that she did not do anything wrong. When I first saw the scene, I was a little angry with him but later on second thought I realized he was never privy to the closeness between his wife and Sultan and how she continued to lead him on with soft looks and touches and sharing confidences. Besides there was no point in beating Madhu up with cold hard truths at this point given she herself looks traumatized,
5)Joshi comes and points fingers at Dips, RK seems to be onboard and it is revealed that he did suspect someone close was Sultan's mole. Madhu seemingly defends Dips, we will find more tomorrow but Dips almost looked scared. I failed to understand why Radha did not have a mentos moment now specially after the blackmailing incident. Madhu defending Dips and Rk keeping quite also seemed out of place.
There was something that seemed jerky and disjointed about today's episode not unlike last 15-20 episodes. I am now confused if this is truly clunk or something more than meets the eye. Which brings me to my odd thought and the key came from Sultan's dialogues about Madhu's betrayals and how she is bad news.
When I was little my grandma always told me that some measure of humility, self-doubt and fear were virtues at times more so for a woman who was the heart of a family. It makes her more circumspect and less impulsive. She would often point out how Draupadi's pride, vanity and lack of self-control (when she mocked Duryodhana and Karna at two separate events) destroyed not only Kauravas but also Pandavas and Yadavas though it is hard to explicitly blame any of her actions. Similar destruction was caused by Helen of Troy that put an end to many dynasties in Aegean wars by her impulsiveness though once again it is hard to blame her per se.
Madhu too seems to incite some sort of passion in people that leads them to their destruction. Interestingly her actions are cloaked in good intentions and it is hard to fault her. Mukund is the only one who escaped the fate probably because he did not truly love Madhu
1) Ballu's hate and fear of her led to his death
2)Shamsher's love for her led him to attempting murder and he would have been destroyed had RK not intervened. Interestingly Madhu behave in a way that seemed like betrayal from a certain perspective
3)Dips was evil but her hate for Madhu made her fall too low and step up her game...she is destroyed given that she has become morally repungent and unforgivable
4)Sultan was definately led on by Madhu and that led to his death.
5)Rk has been on verge of his destruction ever since he married Madhu and things will seemingly only get worse.
What interested me with regards to Sultan is this -
1)Did Madhu really lead him on in her stupidity or on purpose?
2)Did Sultan just kick in a self-fulfilling prophecy if Madhu did indeed not intend to lead him on.
I know it is hard to even say this out loud...but if for a minute you imagine that Madhu too was playing a smart game ...one that would destroy both RK and Sultan in a single swoop.. she is the one who is using them both..all that clunk suddenly seems to make sense including Meera and her bangle obsession. It also explains that odd fake feeling I get everytime I see RM romancing.
1)Sultan suddenly becoming obsessed with Madhu and being so confident about it. He once told RK that he had already had Madhu...could that be true from his perspective? If you go back and see the episodes you will always see an sarcastic smile on Sultan's face when RK talked about his closeness with Madhu as if he was in on some secret. In fact he reacted almost like RK/possesive husband_lover reacted when it came to Madhu.
2)Him being shocked with seeing Madhu in courtyard
3)Madhu's confidence that he will not hurt her
4)All her actions during RK's trials that seemed to make matters more difficult for him
5)Her defending Dips and keeping her in the household despite obvious ridiculousness
6)Every time Cops set a trap for Sultan and Dips was unable to get to Sultan...Sultan caught on it because she gave it away by nodding at some officer at wrong time. This would also explain why she never put her phone on speaker phone and so on.
7)Her constant jaap of how much she loved RK...notice how she constantly jumped in front of Sultan and said things that could be interpreted either way. We interpreted them a certain way because we saw it from RK's perspective and hated Sultan. Look at all those episode with a different perspective ...and you will see a different story emerge.
8)Based on spoilers she sees a locked closet, next day there is a raid.
In the end I am intrigued but oddly disgusted with my thought process at the same time...It reminds me of the movie wild things.
