Being in military school, we used to have a lot of activities planned for Independence Day. From being a part of the flag hoisting ceremony to participating in the parade, I used to be a part of every ceremony. I used to thoroughly enjoy it as it would induce a sense of immense pride. I make sure that I still try and be a part of the celebrations and express my regards for the country.

I remember in school we used to take part in cultural activities, especially dance and drama on Independence Day showcasing the struggle of what our freedom fighters through our act. As kids I remember reading through history books and reading in books about revolutionists who sacrificed their life for this country. This year, through Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, I will be playing tribute through my special act on Vande Mataram.
