well...i would not use the word "adversary" here but each n every thing in RK's life starts and end with madhu only. he is not afftected by any other person but madhu. he faced ballu because of madhu, sultan is behind his life because he wants madhu, dips keeps irritating him because he married madhu and ended her hopes of getting him back...so directly or indirectly its always about madhu.

but i would like to add here that though she is the reasons for all his problems but she is the soul cause of his happiness also. his very existence his depended on his madhu.

and same hold true for madhu also. RK caused every problem in her life and he has given the most beautiful moments in her life too.

so both are incomplete without each other.

as rk said- "tum hi mera ishq ho tum hi mera junoon", it really is true about them.
