Yes, I am writing for the first time, so can not hold back the excitement myself 😆
I wanted to update this part last night, but being a newbie I was not allowed to post more than 10 times a day 😆. Anyway, hope this one is interesting. I am a very much technologically challenged person as far as the IF buttons and links are concerned. I wanted to attach a hyperlink, but somehow unable to do so. there is a Youtube video link mentioned at the bottom. You may refer to it for the feel at the end of this update.
Madhu woke up feeling thirsty. She looked at the clock; it was 2.30 in the morning. She got up and found a glass of water by the bedside stand. She stood up while drinking and looked out of the window. She saw someone sitting by the pool. It was Rishabh. What was he doing there at this time? She felt a sudden curiosity engulfing her mind and quietly went out of her room.
"Neend nahin aa rahi hai?" Rishabh looked at her questioningly, "what are you doing here?" "Ha ha, I have the same question for you!" Rishabh smirked and pulled her hand to sit beside him. "Last evening party reminded me of the childhood days in this farmhouse. We were menace to our parents, always bringing up some trouble for them," recollected Rishabh with a smile. "You still are a menace, at least to Didz." "And you? Do you think I bother you much?" "No, not at all. Why would you bother me? I was just saying Didz as a part of your family.." "Why can't you be a part of my family so that I can be a menace to you forever?" The silence following Rishabh's words was too heavy for both of them. All these while Madhu had thought, or rather hoped that Rishabh had moved on and it was just friendship from his end. "Rishabh, I have had memorable moments with you as a friend and co-worker. Please don't spoil them by saying something which does not have any logic." "So you live your life with logic, love has no place in it. Ahaan!" "Rishabh, please don't behave like a child. You think at the sangeet you fell in love with me at first sight. How can that be possible? You didn't even know me; you didn't know anything about me!" Rishabh gave her a slight nod and said, "yes, definitely there is logic in your words!! But tell me one thing Madhu, you have known Mukund for ages, still you do not love him.." "Rishabh you are crossing your limits!!" Saying this Madhu stood up and walked past him.
"Won't say sorry..
Doesn't have a meaning today.
Won't wish you well,
'Cause you will be, anyway
Will just say thank you,
For all the moments dear..
'Cause they gave me smile,
They brought you near.
The heart goes restless,
To show you the world it holds..
The mind stops the heart,
Reminds it the love gone cold.
The mind shall win the battle,
It has logic, it is strong..
The heart will bear its defeat,
With memories of love lost long."
Madhu could not believe her ears. She stood there like a zombie, even the tears welling up inside her eyes refused to trickle down. How could anyone love her so much? And did she or could she love him back equally? No, she did not have the liberty to think like that. She was betrothed. In spite of Rishabh's statement about her feelings for Mukund being true, she had no choice. She could not gamble with her father's esteem, the man who had not left any stones unturned to give them the best when needed.
"Forget me Rishabh, we are not meant for each other." Rishabh didn't reply. He stood there as a lost warrior.
