So everybody wanted an answer, that might have been the curiosity factor.
We all know how TRPs dropped when Jeth-Bala track actually started..😳 And RishBala marriage track took TRPs up by 0.6 but then again Bhai's bakwaas najayaz drama pulled it down 🥱 There are many more such occassions!!
Actually it was quite clear that Sultan is alive. Even my Mom guessed that much right when he fell off from the cliff. So people were obviously curious to see HOW he did it. And so, I do agree with you on the curiosity factor part.
Where some people love to discuss the TRP topic, I refrain from commenting because none of us know what these figures exactly mean as we are no experts in this department, but you mentioned the 0.6 rise so I thought I should share my opinion over it too. If you have followed any other Indian shows in the past, you would know wedding tracks get a huge number of rise in their TRPs instantly. But with this show, there was a very slight increase of 0.6 even after the wedding having being hyped about so much. I know you are probably going to blame Sultan's track for it once again, but that would be no excuse. The RK-Bala wedding was promoted on a grand scale, and since their fans claim about their popularity and demand in the audience so much, I thought that week the TRPs might even cross the 4.0 mark. But it didn't. So if you really want to play the blame game, then their are many such occasions where the likeable couple failed to bag a good number of ratings as people had expected. For example, the bathroom romance, the supposed Suhaag Raat etc. The pre-wedding romance of RK-Bala was at it's peak where almost every other episode was dedicated to them romancing around. But it didn't pique people's interest. Because maybe they are tired of the same old romance and want to see something different. And I don't find anything wrong in that.
I strongly believe that TRPs are the contribution of the entire team and not just one actor/character. We can't just blame the fall or give credit of the rise to only one factor or actor. Everybody is working equally hard for the show. Although ever since I have entered this forum, all I hear is "RK is the TRP generator" and "Sultan is the cause in the downfall of the TRPs" . I think we should let the experts handle that department and do our job of just watching and discussing the show. Otherwise, the outcome of discussing TRPs would as usual turn out to be nasty and ugly!
