'Man's Prerogative being Forgiven'

Today's episode left me in an ambivalent state, ambivalence between my affect and intuition...while on one side were my sentiments of affront on seeing Madhu pleading and seeking forgiveness...and on the other it was my mind telling me that what was happening was very much in sync with the characters...

RK's reaction of anger and hurt and that his emotions were played around with by Madhu in the name of revenge will be the foremost on his mind...the realization and remorse are not his traits...

and Madhu being Madhu, all giving, is even willing to go to the extent of seeking and pleading forgiveness from him rather than asserting to him that it was he who had induced or compelled her into such an act...had he left her to herself after jilting her and not forcefully kidnapped her, would such a thought even crossed her mind...no I don't think so...

Per se my intuitions, I would say the entire build up about RK's reaction and Madhu's desperate attempts to set things all right minus the emotional drama (which I realize are the staple for raking in trps) was congruent to the story and relevant to RK and Madhu's characteristic traits...

as for my sentiments after watching today's emotional havoc, " is it the man's prerogative to be forgiven and woman's to be punished for their misdemeanors"...
